If I could give this a negative rating I would. Wallauer took measurements of my
windows to install cordless blinds. They never warned me that the windows were
too large for cordless, and sure enough, within 6 months, they had problems and
were not working properly. Laura, the manager at Bedford Hills is one of the
most unprofessional people I have EVER come across. She fought tooth and nail
over replacing them, and instead wanted to repair them and leave me without
black out shades for nearly a month in my toddlers’ bedrooms. This is after
collecting from me $16,000 for the original, faulty shades. She finally realized
how unreasonable that was (after several horrendous conversations with her,
during which she mocked me loudly on the phone to the Wallauer installation
employee at my house, spoke extremely condescendingly towards me, and was
outright difficult). Yet when the cord loop blinds arrived, the cord loop was
too long and I had safety concerns for my children. The installation employee me
assured me we could do a shorter cord loop, and took measurements for same. He
promised me to return within a week with the shorter loops. That never happened
and an entire MONTH later, Laura informed me that they would not be returning at
all and that she was washing her hands of this. No mention of the money I paid
to her. No mention of the promises she and Wallaeur employees made to me. I am
DISGUSTED. There are SO many blinds places with professionalism and courtesy to
their customers – save yourself my headache and take your business anywhere
