At 1623, family takes center stage. Owner Mike McKelvin, alongside his wife Sandy and daughters Cameron and Jordan, bring a personal touch into the daily operations. Together, they strive to deliver the highest quality beer, seltzers, entertainment, and catered events to their guests. The brewery has garnered multiple awards for its unique beers and earned recognition for the best happy hour within the local community. Mike’s extensive experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship, coupled with a deep love for family, has propelled 1623 to new heights and expanded its regional distribution. 1623 BREWING CO. A FAMILY AFFAIR LIBERATORE'S FAMILY A CULINARY LEGACY The Liberatore Family established its first restaurant in Eldersburg, Maryland, in 1988, offering predominantly Italian cuisine. The brand expanded with the opening of Lib’s Grill in Perry Hall in December 2013, a neighborhood Grill & Raw Bar celebrated for fresh seafood, specialty steaks, craft beers, boutique wines, and unique cocktails. Guests dictate their experiences, allowing Lib’s Grill to deliver exceptional hospitality. The Lib’s Grill Brand expanded towards the Washington DC market, opening the second location in Fulton, Maryland, in December 2017. The family continued to spread their hospitality and focus on quality food by opening Lib’s Grill Bel Air in September 2022. All Lib’s Grill locations share a common menu featuring an extensive selection from the InHouse Raw Bar, unique signature dishes, and classic favorites.
