Bulleit Bourbon is inspired by the whiskey that was pioneered over 150 years
ago. Only ingredients of the very highest quality are used. The complexity of
Bulleit Bourbon comes from its unique blend of rye, corn, and barley malt, along
with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone-filtered water. Due to
its especially high rye content, Bulleit Bourbon has a bold, spicy character
with a finish that's distinctively clean and smooth. Medium amber in color, with
gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas, the mid-palate is smooth with tones of
maple, oak, and nutmeg. The finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light-tasting
toffee flavor that lingers long after the final sip. Bulleit Bourbon earned a
Gold medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Perfect for a
classic Manhattan cocktail.

Is Bulleit Bourbon expensive?

A standard, 750mL bottle of Bulleit bourbon will likely cost you in the price
range of $25-$35. While certainly not the cheapest spirit on the market, Bulleit
is really not that expensive in the grand scheme of things. In fact, Bulleit
bourbon’s taste is pretty multidimensional, considering the price. It’s an
accessible product with a light, approachable profile for those who aren’t yet
immersed in bourbon lore. Moreover, while it’s perfectly acceptable to sip
Bulleit bourbon neat, you can just as readily add it to cocktails without
flinching at the sticker price.

Is Bulleit Bourbon a good sipping whiskey?

While there are plenty of top-notch (read: more expensive) whiskeys on the
market, you can totally use Bulleit bourbon as a sipping whiskey, since Bulleit
distillers use only the best ingredients (a special blend of rye, barley malt,
corn, and Kentucky water). Upon your first sip, look for flavor notes like
vanilla, honey, clove, oak, apple, and cinnamon; on the finish, you’ll enjoy a
lingering earthiness with some licorice and rosemary. That being said, don’t shy
away from using Bulleit in mixed drinks, as its generally lighter body lends to
a delicious Old Fashioned.

How do you pronounce Bulleit?

Good question — “bourbon” is a French word, after all, and the brand's
heavy-handed vowel usage could easily mislead someone to pronounce Bulleit like
“Bull-ay,” perhaps (while casually adjusting your beret). However, the story
goes that when Tom Bulleit, the brand’s founder, was asked how to pronounce the
distillery that shares his name, he clarified that Bulleit should sound like the
ammunition — “Bull-it.” While Bulleit is by no means the most difficult spirit
to spell (looking at you, curaçao), bourbon is a uniquely American product so
that you can leave your fancy French accent at home.

Is Bulleit Bourbon a good gift?

Bulleit is a widely distributed brand that has a place in any liquor cabinet, so
you can feel confident bringing a bottle as your next hostess gift; what’s more,
Bulleit is generally respected as a higher-quality bourbon (even though the
sticker price is just $35 a bottle). Even a true bourbon lover can enjoy what
Bulleit bourbon has to offer. Bulleit is also one of the better choices for
