MUSLIM COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH



Founded in 1986, our mission is to serve the religious, cultural, and social
needs of Muslims in the greater Pittsburgh region. Through our programs,
services and various events, we strive to provide a spiritual & social home for
all Muslims. It is through our participation in area's interfaith fabric that we
aim to build strong and lasting relationships that will promote understanding
and goodwill and strengthen the bond of community.  

We welcome you to your Center and encourage you to partake in its programs and

Jumu'ah begins at 1:15 PM with a Adhan (call to prayer), Khutba (sermon) and
ends with the Salat (Prayer). All sermons are streamed live on our YouTube
channel. Please subscribe and click the bell icon for notifications. 







A Study of the Medinan Period of the Sira (Biography) of the Prophet Muhammad
(Allah shower grace and benedictions upon him). A thought provoking, and life
enhancing class covering the Sira—the sacred biography—of the Prophet Muhammad
(Allah bless him and give him peace). 

In this class we will be covering the Medinan Period of the Prophet's life
including his arrival, establishing the Masjid, building the community, various
political events, conquest of Mecca, the accomplishment of Prophet's mission and
his departure from this world.

In this class, we aspire to:
 * Learn the chronological details of the life of our beloved Prophet (Allah
   bless him and give him peace)
 * Draw practical lessons for us in the area of spirituality, family, ethics,
   politics, identity, etc.
 * Pay extra close attention to the areas in the Sira that are often
   misunderstood, whether by Muslims or non-Muslims.

This series is designed to foster learning by posting questions to Imam Abdul
Aziz Suraqah. The questions are submitted anonymously and are directly received
by the Imam. So if you have a question that you need answered, please ask here.

This program occurs on a monthly basis (every first Wednesday of the month).
Please be mindful of this as your question may not get answered right away.
