in goldman sachs has internal systems knowledge which they wont write in
documents or teach others, so average quality engineers retain

LIKES

Goldman Sachs offers a very conducive work environment and will help any
individual build a strong professional network of smart and highly thoughtful
people. As for job security, there was recently a round of layoffs in the
Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices, but the Risk division remained largely
unimpacted by it, as this is a more federation mid/back office role.


DISLIKES

The compensation is not very competitive anymore. Gone are the days (roughly 5
years ago or older) when Goldman Sachs was ranked among the top paymasters in
IITs and other engineering colleges. This can also be felt in how the firm
treats its employees, they are aggressively looking to cut costs with perks and
other basic office facilities. Work at Goldman Sachs can also be very monotonous
in that daily deliverables are simply regulatory reports that are submitted
daily, with only the data being refreshed every day. Not too relevant to the
analytics & reporting roles, but Goldman Sachs has often been criticized for the
age-old tech stacks and infrastructure in place, which hindered progress many
times. As others have opined, do agree with the statement that promotions do not

LIKES

To be honest nothing. May be i gave a bad manager but overall experience is
definitely not good. It's a myth that Goldman pays bomb. Not at all employee
friendly. Overall Goldman performance is poor which is effecting our bonus hike
from last 2yrs.pathetic eill never refer any of my friend to join Goldman


DISLIKES

Manager, work life balance, overtime money is very less, hike less, politics.

The company’s infrastructure is Top notch and will definitely get to learn a
lot.


DISLIKES

The Culture in company is very work oriented. On ground level Company does not
care about its employees well being. Leadership micromanages the team. High
performers are not valued, respected or recognised.

LIKES

Office infrastructure is very good. Need to be lucky to be in a good team then
your talent will be appropriated and recognised. Else you’ll have a tough time
unfortunately which is my case.


DISLIKES

Due recent past years mass hiring talent is not recognised as much and Bangalore
has become a service office. Mostly back-end ops jobs
