HI THERE! 👋🏽

I'm Pruthvi, a CS/Math 💻 major at UC Berkeley curious about the intersection of
ML and Engineering. On the research 🧪 side, I'm interested in applied deep
learning. On the engineering ⚙️ side, I'm curious about the large-scale
productionization of intensive ML models.


As a researcher 🥼 in the InterACT lab, I'm exploring different Reinforcement
Learning algorithms towards medical devices used in Parkinsons' patients. As a
VP 👔 @ Big Data at Berkeley, a data consulting org, I source and oversee 3
unique industry projects across 25+ members.


Previously, I worked as an ML/Data Science Intern on the Intelligence 🧠 Team @
Asana, where I improved how users navigate projects. Prior to that, I worked in
Fullstack Development @ Boombox 🎶, to push several user-facing features that
simplify music collaboration.


In my free time, you can find me producing music 🎹 in my bedroom till 3'am,
running pickup 🏀 on the weekends, or exploring Berkeley's many restaurants
🍕🍽️ with some friends.


PROJECTS

Police Case Analysis Tool

Tool to help journalists parse through police case files and identify key info.
AWS Textract for OCR (optical character recognition) and spaCy for NER
(identifying key entities).

Wordguesser

My version of the classic Wordle game. Used Ruby on Rails to implement MVC
framework for project. Managed state with PostgreSQL + cookies, and used
Bootstrap for frontend.

Encrypted Dropbox

File-sharing system allowing users to perform CRUD operations on files and
share/revoke access to other users. Used digital signatures, HMACs, block cipher
modes, and RSA.

LockManager: Multigranular Locking System

Created and optimized a Java DBMS to process multi-threaded queries. Leveraged
different lock types and 2-phase locking to ensure serializability and prevent
deadlocks.

Simplified Git

Created version-control system to support 12 commands (init, add, commit, merge,
branch, checkout, etc.). Wrote design document and coded several classes to
represent local file structure with persistence.


MY MUSIC! 🎹

I've been producing Hip-Hop/Trap, RnB, and Pop music for the past 4 years. It
started off as me tinkering with garageband in high school, and has now become a
particular passion of mine.
