CYBERSECURITY TRAINING EXERCISE

Hi there! The email you responded to was a brief security training exercise.
It’s a fake phishing email that asked you to click on a link and enter your
credentials. But don't worry!

We're helping everyone at Transurban learn how to avoid phishing attacks. Please
take just 20 seconds to read the tips to spot phishing emails.

WHAT INFO DO CYBER CRIMINALS WANT?

Many phishing emails and websites try to trick you into revealing sensitive
information:

 * Account numbers
 * Usernames and passwords
 * Personal details (such as your address, phone number etc)

TAKEAWAY

 * Don't open emails or click on attachments that are out of the ordinary or
   unexpected. For example, unusual emails from business partners, banks and
   utility providers that seem unexpected or unusual.
 * Don't automatically trust large brands. Some phishing emails impersonate the
   normal work tools like Microsoft Office365, OneDrive, DocuSign or Adobe that
   we use daily. Stay vigilant when you recieve an unexpected email from these
   technology services, as they may be fake.
 * Be cautious of suspicious attachments: Attachments aren’t always malicious,
   but use extreme caution whenever you receive them unexpectedly.

       Furthermore, we urge users to follow password best practices. Please see
our Passwords article on TEN.
      •Ensure passwords for non-production are not reused for production
environments

Always report suspicious emails using the "Report Phishing" Icon in your Outlook
client (pictured below), or by forwarding the email
to cybersecurity@transurban.com

Please do not share your experience with colleagues, so they can learn too.
