I HAVE TO ADMIT...
I'm not really a big Milwaukee fan, never have been, they were always more
concentrated on the plumbing and electrical trades and only recently turned
their attention more towards carpentry specific tools.
I am a long time "teal" guy and don't see myself changing anytime soon, but,
" I have to admit" when a company launches a superior product! Milwaukee has
done just that with their 2nd Gen. battery nail guns! While I did test their
original offerings of the 18 Ga. brad and 15 Ga. finish nailers and found
them to be less then expected, (it was like trim carpentry with a sledge
hammer) and opted for the yellow brand instead. Recently on the suggestion
of the GC on a jobsite I was installing at, I gave Milwaukee a second chance
and tried the Gen 2, 18Ga brad gun and again "I have to admit" Milwaukee has
a winner here! I was extremely impressed with the improvements in fire rate,
ergonomics and quality/consistency of the nail set! Speed, power and quality
of my old air nailguns without the pain of hoses and compressor!
After investing in the 15Ga. and 16Ga. finish, 18Ga. brad and 23Ga. pin
nailer, it's clear to me, their entire battery nail gun line is the best out
there right now! They work so well that I actually pulled the compressor and
hoses out of the truck and now work cord free on the jobsite!
I am very loyal to the tool brands that have served me well in the past, and
I seldom add another battery platform/charger to my truck, but this has
proven to be a good investment in better quality work, dependability, and
improved productivity!
Bottom line...add these guns to your tool collection and they will put more
money in your pocket and a smile on your face!

GREAT NAILER!
I like the generation 2 much better than the generation 1 as it has a much
smaller foot but also much less kick. This finish nailer has plenty of power
to nail oak trim to oak jambs. The only draw back is the weight and didn’t
come with a case, which I’m finding out is difficult to find one that fits…
either way too big or much too small.

GREAT NAILER
This is a much needed improvement over the first generation that they made.
Haven't had a single miss fire or mail that didn't set fully.

PURE MAGIC
I was not entirely sure what to expect with my first nailer, but trusted my
other M18/M12 tools. After taking a minute to read the instructions and
figure out exactly how to load the nails properly, the 16 Gague Angled
Finish Nailer quickly exceeded my expectations: weighs next to nothing for
the power, fires quickly, drives true, and has almost no recoil working in
tight spaces.

WORKS GREAT
This nailer has worked great so far. My only complaint is that the 20 degree
nails are hard to find. Why would Milwaukee make a nail gun that the nails
are so hard to find. I could not find any at Lowes or home depot, I had to
purchase them on amazon and the most common 20 degree nails available to
purchase are dewalt nails. Perhaps Milwaukee should start manufacturing
nails for their own tools.

NO MAR TIPS BREAK EASILY
The no mar tips break easily and Milwaukee doesn't have replacement
available for another 2 months. This is what I was told by customer service.
So I guess this will be sitting on a shelf awaiting tips. $329.00 for a
paper weight. The mode 2839-20 has same issues.
