CLASSIC BRUSCHETTA RECIPE



Ingredients 1 loaf of Italian bread (such as ciabatta or baguette) 4 ripe
tomatoes, diced 2 cloves of garlic Fresh basil leaves, chopped Extra virgin
olive oil Salt and pepper to taste Optional: Balsamic vinegar, grated Parmesan
cheese Instructions Prepare the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice
the bread into pieces about 1/2 inch (1-2 cm) thick. Place the slices on a
baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are
golden brown and crispy. Garlic Treatment: While the bread is still hot, take a
clove of garlic, cut it in half, and rub the cut side on each slice of bread.
This will infuse the bread with a subtle garlic flavor. Tomato Mixture: In a
bowl, combine the diced tomatoes with chopped fresh basil leaves. Add a generous
drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix
everything together gently. Assemble the Bruschetta: Spoon the tomato mixture
onto each slice of toasted bread. Optionally, drizzle with a bit of balsamic
vinegar for extra flavor. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve: Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter. Garnish with additional
basil leaves if desired. Serve immediately while the bread is still warm and
crispy.
