Enrolled agents (EAs) are America’s Tax Experts. EAs are the only federally
licensed tax preparers who also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers
before the IRS.

Enrolled Agents (EAs) are tax professionals with technical expertise in tax laws
and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations. They are fully authorized to
represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the IRS in a wide
variety of situations, including audits, collections and appeals. All enrolled
agents must pass an exam to earn the EA certification, and must recertify every
3 years.

IRS issues take many forms, and can arise even when taxpayers make every effort
