U.S. EMBASSY CELEBRATES ACADEMY FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS GRADUATES

Today, U.S. Embassy Suva held a graduation celebration for the third cohort of
the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE). Since 2020, the Academy for Women
Entrepreneurs has mentored over 300 Fijian women to establish and scale-up their
businesses.

Today, the U.S. Embassy welcomed nine Pacific youth, representing Fiji, Tonga,
and Kiribati, into the 2022-2024 U.S. Embassy Youth Council (EYC). U.S.
Ambassador to Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga, and Ambassador Designee to Tuvalu and Nauru
Marie C. Damour launched the new cohort.

U.S. EMBASSY’S SPORTS VISITOR PROGRAM SENDS YOUTH RUGBY COACHES TO THE UNITED
STATES

From December 3-18, a group of 13 youth rugby coaches from Fiji, Tonga, and
Kiribati traveled to the United States on the U.S. Department of State sponsored
Sports Visitors program.


AMBASSADOR MARIE DAMOUR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS IN KIRIBATI

Ambassador Marie Damour is in Kiribati this week to present her credentials to
His Excellency President Taneti Maamau. Ko rabwa for the warm welcome and we
look forward to working together to open the U.S. embassy in Kiribati,
addressing shared challenges, and deepening ties.
