Password is incorrect
You have entered an invalid username or password.

Your account is locked because of too many authentication attempts.
Use the "Unlock account?" link to unlock your account.

This factor is suspended for your account due to too many failed attempts

Sign in Denied - You do not have permission to access your account at this time
This error occurs because the user has not enrolled for Multifactor
Authentication. Please see the Assurant MFA User Guide for details on how to
enroll and manage authentication factors.

Sorry, you can't access (appname) because you are not assigned to this app.
Please submit a ticket under http://myit.assurant.com  to request access to this
application.

QuickTime Error

You will need to clear your browser cookies and cache. 

In Chrome
 1. On your computer, open Chrome.
 2. At the top right, click More :  (the shortcut keys are Control+Shift+Delete)
 3. Click More tools >Clear browsing data.
 4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
 5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check
    the boxes.
 6. Click Clear data.

In Internet Explorer

 1. Start at the gear icon in the upper right. For older versions of Internet
    Explorer, select the Tools menu.
 2. Select Safety > Delete Browsing History (the shortcut keys
    are Control+Shift+Delete).
 3. Select Temporary Internet Files just to clear the cache.
 4. Select the other check boxes as well if you also wish to remove to remove
    cookies, history, form data, passwords and InPrivate Filtering data.
 5. Press Delete

What is "Multi-Factor Authentication" (MFA)?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security that
helps protect Assurant's confidential resources and data.

Most of your accounts and applications are currently protected by a login and
password. That password is a single factor in the authentication process — the
way that those applications or services confirm your identity.

Multi-Factor Authentication is the process of confirming a user's identity by
validating two or more factors presented by the user, each from a different
category of factors. This ensures that even in the event that a factor is
compromised (e.g. a stolen password), an attacker would still not be able to
gain access because theywould not have access to the additional required
factor(s).

The three basic categories of factors that can be used in MFA are:

 * something the user knows (e.g. password, PIN number, etc.)
 * something the user has (e.g mobile device, etc.)
 * something the user is (e.g. fingerprint, voice, etc.)


How do I change or add more factors?

Follow the steps below for adding and/or updating MFA factors:

 1. Go to https://assurant.okta.com.
 2. Enter your Assurant LAN ID and password and then click Sign In.
 3. Click on your name (on the top right) and select .
    
 4. Click on Edit Profile and enter your login credentials when prompted.
     
 5. Scroll down to the Extra Verification section. Select the factor you would
    like to setup or change and follow the instructions to complete.


What is my username and password for Okta?

Use your Assurant LAN ID and Password. If you forgotten your password, use
the Assurant Password Manager (APM) or call the Assurant Help Desk to reset your
password.

NOTE: APM is only available within the Assurant internal network


What do I do if my account is locked out?

If you cannot log in, use the "Unlock account?" link to unlock your account.


I’m prompted to enter the verification code but I’m not receiving the SMS on my
phone?
Please make sure you click the Send Code button to send the code to your mobile
device. If you still do not receive the code, please use a different factor to
complete the MFA.
