MARCH 29 UPDATES

March 29, 2024

Suly Suly! I have a few updates today that I highly recommend everyone download!

PlumbBros 2.0.4 has had a few annoying bugs squashed:

 * Fixed an issue that caused Sim comfort zones to be calculated incorrectly,
   resulting in Sims being uncomfortable when they shouldn’t be.
 * Fixed an issue that prevented PlumbBros Water Heaters from being able to
   refill after it had emptied completely.
 * Technicians can now “Send Bill to Customer” from the Tech Tablet if the
   Customer can’t be found on the lot.

Core Library 1.18 has had a large internal rewrite to ensure injections are
accurate and to prevent unintended changes due to memory sharing in EA tuning.
There are a few new additions to the TuningInjector for modders as well that
will be documented in the TDESC Browser shortly!

PLUMBBROS 2.0!

January 28, 2024

You can now finally use the Water Heater, Radiator, and Wall-Mounted Air
Conditioner introduced in the For Rent EP! This also includes the Radiator that
was included with the Vampires GP, as well as any CC that has been updated to
use the new base game compatible tuning. See all the updates below!

Water Heaters

 * The PlumbBros Water Heater has been refactored to use the new functionality
   introduced in the For Rent patch. All custom bathing interactions have been
   removed as the EA interactions now handle hot and cold water effects on their
   own!
 * You can now upgrade the PlumbBros Water Heater Tank to work Off The Grid, or
   you can use the new For Rent Solar Water Heater while OTG. The game lessons
   claim that a Water Heater with the 5Ever Tech Upgrade can work without Power
   AND Water Utilities. However the EA tuning prevents the Water Heater from
   turning on without Water Utility. The PlumbBros Water Heater will allow you
   to do this.
 * When PlumbBros gameplay is enabled, EA Water Heaters will maintain a Hot
   Water Level like the PlumbBros Water Heater that is depleted after
   showering/bathing.
 * If the Geothermal Lot Trait is active, your pipes will no longer freeze in
   the cold and Water Heaters will heat without Power.

Radiators & Wall-Mounted Air Conditioners

 * The new For Rent Wall-Mounted Air Conditioner and Radiators can now be synced
   with your PlumbBros HVAC system. Both auxiliary objects can work on their own
   without an Outdoor Condenser Unit and Ventilation. Any CC objects using the
   new tuning will also be compatible!
 * In terms of how each Radiator and Air Conditioner will affect the
   temperature, each object will count as 2 vents. Depending on how large your
   home is, you may need multiple radiators and/or air conditioners for optimal
   heating and cooling. If you do not have an Outdoor Condenser Unit, then your
   normal air vents will be unused, as they are only part of the Central A/C
   System.
 * Radiators do not need to maintain Air Filters or Refrigerant. The Air
   Conditioner only needs Air Filter maintenance.

Apartments & Residential Rentals

 * Residential Rental Tenants can no longer request insulation upgrades. Your
   Property Owner must call PlumbBros and setup an appointment.
 * Apartments can no longer have insulation upgraded as designed. Each building
   has a preset insulation level based on the inherent building quality.

Additional Updates

 * Repairing PlumbBros objects will now satisfy any objectives that require
   repairing objects.
 * Updated tooltips for Water Heaters and Condensers to include the current
   status. Wall Mounted Air Conditioners will also show Air Filter Quality.
 * The Outdoor Condenser Unit has updated SFX from the new Air Con which should
   be less loud, plus the Water Heater now has audio.
 * Fixed an issue that prevented Commercial Work Order Customers from being
   pulled into the situation if they were already on the lot when you arrive.
 * Fixed an exception that occurs when the Water Main breaks and the valve +
   water spawners are placed.
 * The Water Main will no longer automatically fix when traveling to a played
   household’s home.

Breaking Changes for Integrations

 * The requires_hot_water and requires_cold_water interaction lists in the
   IntegrationManifest have been removed in favor of using the EA
   WaterHeater_IsOn and WaterHeater_IsOff test sets as they are base game
   compatible.

Fashion Authority 2.0.4

The mod information on my website claimed that the Trait Restrictions were
additive, meaning the Sim would require all of the selected traits for the
thread to be applied. However, this is not how it worked in game – Sims only
needed at least one of the traits.

This update adds a setting that you can toggle per thread to either require all
Traits, or to only require one. The mod info has been updated to reflect the
correct default functionality. The new setting will appear after adding Trait
Restrictions.

Smart Doorbell 3.1

 * Sims should no longer repeatedly Ding Dong Ditch and Lot Owners will no
   longer autonomously Ding Dong Ditch their own house.
 * Sims with the Bane trait or in a Club with sabotage encouraged will now be
   able to Sabotage the doorbell to electrocute their next Ding Dong Ditcher
   (teen or older)!
 * Improved functionality when using doorbells at a Residential Rental. Only
   doorbells that are located near your Active Unit’s doors will be used by
   Sims. 
 * Trick or Treaters (Seasons) can now use the doorbell.
 * Added a cheat interaction to upgrade Custom Ringtones instantly.
 * Removed Face ID detection mode to simplify functionality. Motion Detection
   will now display the Sim’s photo and name when detected nearby. You can
   continue to toggle this feature on or off freely in Settings.
 * The Ring Notification displayed when pressing the doorbell button will now
   display the Sim’s photo and name, regardless of detection mode.

Suly Suly! I have a couple updates for you this afternoon.

Simzlink

Simzlink has been updated to 1.8.1 to fix an issue that prevents you from paying
Simzlink bills while living in a Residential Rental!

Note: Placing a router in a Shared Space will not share internet service across
all units. You will still need to subscribe each unit just as you would in a
City Living apartment. In the future I would like to give Property Owners the
ability to provide service for all units, but will need more time to figure that
out.

Free-Range

A few debug interactions have been added back to the cows and llamas in
Free-Range 1.4.2.

COWPOKE WRANGLER UPDATE

December 10, 2023

EA has updated stereos to prevent autonomous Cowpoking when the Ranch station is
not playing in the For Rent Patch!

As a result Cowpoke Wrangler is not entirely necessary anymore. It has been
updated to 2.0 to remove the cowpoking fix, however it can still be used to
prevent the dancing posture from being used in odd situations, like maids
cleaning near a tv/stereo that is turned off.

1.103.250 PATCH COMPATIBILITY

December 5, 2023

Simzlink, Flicbuster, PlumbBros, Ding & Ditch Smart Doorbell, and Core Library
all need an update to be fully compatible with today’s patch. You can keep them
in your game so you do not lose progress in the Active Careers however you may
experience some errors, which should not corrupt your save.

DECEMBER 7 UPDATE

Flicbuster and the Smart Doorbell now require Core Library! Simzlink and Core
Library have been also updated for compatibility with the patch.

PlumbBros does not actually need a compatibility update at this time. However,
now that the pack is out I can start to investigate how to best integrate the
new Water Heater and Air Con objects, as well as mold!

All other mods are compatible.

November 5, 2023

Sul Sul! I have a few updates today:

University courses have returned to the Sunrise Alarm Clock! You can now wake up
on time for any of your classes through a Career Based Alarm.

A small fix was made for PlumbBros to update the Condenser Unit tooltip value
rounding. You may have seen the Refrigerant Level or Air Quality at 50% while
the value was actually higher at 50.2% preventing the technician from completing
their tasks.

The Can’t Bathe Around Kittens or Puppies bugfix has been renamed and updated to
support bathing/sunbathing around Horse foals.

OCTOBER 16 UPDATE

October 16, 2023

Introducing The Cowpoke Wrangler! This new mod will prevent Sims from
unexpectedly using a random dance posture as a subsitute for sitting or
standing. If you have Horse Ranch, this mod will prevent Sims from Cowpoke
Dancing unless they are listening to the Ranch station. Requires Core Library
1.12.

Core Library 1.12 is now available with new injectors for modders, and bug fixes
for players.

 * Improved parameterized interactions to find better results, and prevent Sims
   from getting stuck in a loop. This affects many of my mods.
 * Breaking Change: Fixed the pie menu category override injection for
   affordances, you must now use “pie_menu_category” instead of “category”
 * New injectors added to the TuningInjector:
   * Add/override the tooltip and name components for objects
   * Some modifications now available for carryable_component,
     inventoryitem_component, object_locking_component, and portal_component for
     objects
   * Debug/cheat overrides for interactions
   * Add recipes to crafting interactions
   * Add categories and purchase items to purchase picker interactions
   * Inject to affordances by pie menu category
   * Inject to object parts
   * Inject to random weighted loot
   * Inject to role states
   * Inject to university tuning

If you have PlumbBros you will need to update to 1.8 to support the latest Core
Library.
