2. HANDLING YOUR JOB APPLICATION

In the recruitment process, the following categories of your data will be
processed by the legal entities posting the job vacancy for the purposes and
based on the lawful grounds listed in the table. The types of data that we may
request from you are determined by the requirements of the country in which the
position is located.

 * Contact details (address, telephone number, email address, etc.), where

 * Application details (CV, motivation letter, certificates, references,
   interview notes and whatever data you provide us or wish to provide during
   interviews)

 * Nationality and work permit, where applicable
 * Details about job suitability in respect of health, where applicable
 * Previous convictions where this is applicable to the advertised position,
   e.g. for drivers
 * Financial details to reimburse you for travel expenses, where applicable
 * Data you provided via publicly available platforms used for professional
   purposes, according to the applicable terms and conditions of the company
   responsible for operating the platform
 * Status of communication and communication media (e.g. confirmation of your
   application or information about conducting a telephone/video interview,
   where applicable)

In addition to these categories of data, in order to assess each job
application, we require data that provides an insight into how suitable you are
for the position in question. Unless there is a legal obligation to provide
information about certain personal requirements, e.g. proof of credentials for
drivers/pilots, you decide what data you will provide to us.

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

We collect data directly from you when you supply your data on our career
website or other communication channels. When you use a different channel e.g.
via publicly available platforms used for professional purposes such as
LinkedIn, we will process your data according to the applicable terms and
conditions of that platform. When we work with recruitment agencies, we receive
your data indirectly. In this case, it is the responsibility of those agencies
to ensure the accuracy of the data and to transfer it to us in accordance with
applicable law.



HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

Your technical data collected by our career website is anonymized or deleted by
us immediately after the end of your visit to our career website. 
Data collected on our career website by cookies and other technologies are
stored either until the session is terminated or according to the storage period
indicated in the Privacy Preference Center. In principle, the data collected on
the career website will not be stored for longer than 12 months. Also, the data
which we have collected on the basis of your consent (e.g. job alert) will be
stored until you revoke your consent or until the expiry of the validity of
consent (e.g. for job alert the storage period is 12 months).

Regarding the recruitment process, the following applies:
 * If the recruitment process concludes without your application succeeding we
   will store your data for further six months, unless applicable legislation
   requires another retention period
 * If you are appointed, we will add your data to your personnel file in line
   with applicable legislation
 * A spontaneous application and related information will be processed for 12
   months unless you decide to withdraw your application or applicable
   legislation requires other measures. Information concerning your decision to
   be considered for job advertisements similar to the one you applied to, will
   be processed for 12 month unless you decide to withdraw your given consent

For applicants to jobs in the Unites States of America, the profile and job
applications will be kept for three years due to the OFCCP and EEO regulations



HOW WE SECURE YOUR DATA

We take appropriate steps to take care of the data and to address security and
risks of data loss. We secure your data against any form of unlawful use or
processing. We ensure appropriate technical and organizational measures to keep
your data properly secured in accordance with the applicable law.



WILL YOUR DATA BE PASSED ON 

The information we collect may be shared for the purposes described in this
Privacy Notice with the following categories of recipients:
 * DPDHL Group Companies (where applicable, Works Council and other
   representative bodies)
 * Business partners hired to provide services on DHL Express’ behalf, e.g.
   recruitment agencies, software providers
 * Public authorities, where transfer is required by applicable law

If you apply for a position outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) your
data will be shared with the recipients mentioned above. The transfer to our
DPDHL Group Companies is in accordance with the DPDHL Group Data Privacy Policy.

In cases where a business partner outside the EEA is processing your data on
behalf of DHL Express companies, the business partner will be bound by

DHL does not apply any automated decision making with legal consequences for
you. In case it will be done in the future, we will do so in accordance with the
