WELCOME TO THE MALENY VET FAMILY... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!




We’re so glad you’ve found us because our caring and compassionate crew are
crazy about all animals and the people who care for them – we treat you AND your
best friends like family!

With what feels like a million(ish) years of experience between us, there are
very few problems our team haven’t encountered so we know that caring for our
fur/feather/hooved clients starts with providing you with a good understanding
of their health issues and treatment options.

We’re also not too proud to admit when we don’t know something, so if and when
this happens (nearly never) we have an extensive network of specialists who we
partner with to ensure continuous care and the best possible outcomes for our
patients.

We’ve got your back! We’re here seven days a week and provide after-hours
emergency assistance because let’s face it, pets don’t seem to notice that it’s
a Sunday or 2am when they get into strife!

Maleny Vets has been an integral part of the community for a looooooong time and
we get labrador-style-excited when making new friends! Your pets and livestock

Our clinic has a full suite of “machines that go ping” and ridiculously
knowledgeable staff who diagnose and treat our patients with exceptional medical
competence and compassion. Entrusting us with the care of your pets and
livestock means you’ll be well-equipped to make the best immediate and ongoing
health care decisions for them.

We are an independent, family-owned and operated practice which means animal and

critters and we also connect with and share great empathy with the humans who

We know animals don't work on human time, so we are open 7 days a week and most
public holidays. We also offer on-call emergency care outside regular clinic
hours - we have your back!

Communication is key to our success. From the initial consultation, talking
through treatment options and then post-care check-ins... we work with you every
step of the way.

Our clinic is seriously kitted-out with state of the art equipment - better than

The Maleny vet is great. They really care about the animals they look after. I
recently adopted a stray cat and they looked after him so well. He had "the
works" done and he seemed to cope quite well following all his procedures. I
will be back to ensure his care. I know be is in good hands when take him to the
vet. I while back i had to get my cat put down due to heart failure and they
were so lovely and caring at the time. It's why i came back when i was ready to
adopt another pet.

Cannot recommend this practice highly enough!!! If you are wondering whether to
take your pet here, from my experience I would say ABSOLUTELY.

My boston terrier Lucy suddenly lost the use of her back legs one afternoon. I
went straight to the practice reception without an appointment and they saw her
straight away. They found and removed a paralysis tick within 2 mins (these can
be life threatening), explained the recommended treatment clearly and with lots
of care, and had started administering it within 15mins.

The entire team from reception, to vet nurses, to the vet Kristen were fantastic
- super knowledgeable and took amazing care of Lucy from the moment we arrived
to the moment we left. Although I was very worried about the risks, I was
totally reassured by the fact that she was obviously in the best care possible.
The overnight care, follow up calls, and check-ins were first class.

Thanks to such quick and expert treatment Lucy was back home within 24 hours.

I really respect that as part of explaining the treatment they were up front
about what this sort of care can end up costing if multiple days in vet hospital
are required. We were fortunate enough to have a quick recovery and it ended up
being half of the worst case amount. So much better than the reverse!!

I'm extremely grateful for the skill and attention the entire team showed us.
They are not only super competant, but genuinely lovely human beings as well!!

I just want to say a massive thank you to Dr Sophie Denham and the vets at
Maleny vets! Henry our little dachshund had to undergo a huge surgery in January
that left him with a few complications of continuing to vomit nearly every day
if not on a specific medication. We decided to come to Maleny Vets for a second
opinion after our previous vet wanted to keep henry on this one meds & he wasn’t
getting any better. Dr Sophie & the team worked with us for the past month
introducing a different approach and I can’t believe I can say this but Henry
has been officially off all medication for 2 weeks now with no side effects! We
were told by the previous vets before Maleny that this might be something Henry
needs to be on for the rest of his life!! And Maleny vets just said nope we can
fix this and they did! I honestly get tears in my eyes that we got here! I am so
so so thankful for them! I will recommend Maleny Vets to everyone and anyone!
