What is Allstora? What is the backstory?

Allstora is the independent bookstore committed to sharing all stories and
sharing profits fairly. At Allstora, we are dedicated to championing authors. We
split our profits with authors, doubling their income on the sale of each
book–as opposed to another retailer whose name rhymes with "Glamazon."

In a time where important stories, especially from queer and marginalized
voices, are being banned and ostracized across the country, Allstora is ensuring
there is access to books that represent a vast range of intersections,
narratives, and history.

Building off the success of the first iteration, ShopQueer, Allstora has
expanded its catalog from 3,000 to 10 million titles, offering a catalog that
appeals to all audiences through a diversified set of genres and authors.

Allstora was co-founded by New York Times bestselling author and LGBTQ+ advocate
Eric Cervini, drag performer and actor Adam Powell, and television icon and
author RuPaul.

How do I return an order that I no longer want?

If you have received a book/order that you no longer want, you can return the
unwanted item(s) within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund. The
refund will cover the cost of the items plus original shipping costs. You will
be responsible for shipping and postage. The item(s) can be sent to our return
address listed on the package.

What is the difference between the membership and the Book Club?

The Allstora membership grants discounts on all book purchases, ensuring fair
compensation for authors while providing readers with affordable access to a
wide range of titles. The Book Club offers a curated selection of monthly reads
chosen by cultural icons like RuPaul, along with exclusive content, community
engagement, and the opportunity to connect with fellow readers sharing the same
literary journey.

I can cancel my membership anytime… right?

If you sign up using the promotional discount, you are committing to a 2-month
term. After that, you can cancel your membership at any time with no additional
fees or penalties.

When will I be billed for my membership?

You will be billed on a monthly basis on the day you first signed up for your
membership.


RUPAUL’S BOOK CLUB

How do I join RuPaul’s Book Club? What does it cost?

To join RuPaul's Book Club, simply sign up on our website. The cost is
$24.50/month for Allstora members, and $35/month for non-members. Perks include
exclusive interviews, themed playlists, and a one-of-a-kind signed print for
subscribers with more exciting things to come! 

I can cancel my Book Club subscription anytime… right?

You can cancel your book club subscription at any time with no additional fees
or penalties. However, if you signed up using the new member promotional
discount, please be aware that your membership and subscription are separate and
will have to be canceled separately.

When will I be billed for my subscription?

You will be billed on a monthly basis on the 15th of each month.

When will you announce the next month’s book selection? What if I’m not feeling
that month’s selection?

We will announce each month’s selection on the 15th of the prior month. If
you're not interested in a particular month's book, you have the option to get a
gift card of the equivalent value. You'll have two days after the selection is
announced to make the swap!

What if I’m already an Allstora Member?

If you're already an Allstora member, you can simply sign up for RuPaul's Book
Club at the discounted rate of $24.50/month to access its exclusive perks and
benefits.

I pre-ordered RuPaul’s memoir, how do I get the signed print?

If you pre-ordered RuPaul’s memoir, you’ll receive your delivery after it’s
shipped from our fulfillment center on March 4. You should have received an
email detailing instructions for how you can join the Book Club to receive the
signed print.

creating a space for inclusive storytelling.

I was a QH101 Book Club member, what now?

If you were a QH101 Book Club member, rest assured that your subscription will
remain unaffected for the time being. While we're undergoing some exciting
changes, your membership will continue as usual, with no immediate alterations
to your subscription. Stay tuned for updates and announcements as we evolve our
offerings to bring you an even more fabulous reading experience!

What about the Books in the 3-B and Queer Book Club?

Rest assured that there are no changes planned for these curations in the near
future. Our team will continue to make monthly selections of queer books as
usual!

Do you ship internationally?

No, at this time we do not offer international shipping. Join our mailing list
to find out when we expand into your country.

How do I change my address?

You can update your address in your account settings on our website. Simply log
in, navigate to your account information, and edit your shipping address as
needed.

What should I do if my package was lost or stolen?

If your package was lost or stolen, please contact us at info@allstora.com.
We'll assist you in locating your package or arranging for a replacement
shipment if necessary.


AUTHORS

My book isn’t currently offered on your website, how can I add mine?

If your book is sold on Ingram, it will be included in our catalog. If your book
is sold on Ingram and you still don’t see your book on our site today, contact
us at authors@allstora.com.

How does the author payout program work?

In order to be eligible for author commissions, you will be required to submit
an application and verify your identity. We partner with Plaid to provide an
effortless and trusted ID verification process.

How can I enroll for author payouts?

Follow the instructions on the Allstora Author Program page. 

When can I expect my author commissions?

Authors are eligible for payouts once they’ve accrued at least $10 in
commissions. After you’ve verified your identity and connected your payment
method, you will automatically receive your payout on the last day of the
following month. (Example: commissions from sales in March will be paid April
30).


AFFILIATES

What is Allstora’s affiliate program?

Anyone can sign up to become a marketing affiliate with Allstora. Once
registered, you’ll be able to refer friends, family, or anyone to join the
Allstora membership. Successful conversions will result in a $5 affiliate
commission when your referral completes the free trial and becomes a paying
member.

How can I become an affiliate?

If you are a customer and have an account with Allstora (no membership
required), you will find your referral link on your account page. Simply follow
the steps from there to link your bank account for payouts, once eligible. 

If you are a marketing partner, you can learn more about the program and enroll
directly following this link.

When can I expect my payments after I successfully referred new members?

Affiliates are eligible for payouts once they’ve accrued at least $10 in
