Get Started WHAT IS A BOUNTY? A bounty can be anything from creating a logo to developing an app. We just like to use it as a shorter way of saying ‘paid, creative task-based project’. Find your next creative project on Bounties with upfront clarity. See directly what you’ll get paid and work with secure contracts. It’s completely commission-free and open internationally. HOW IT WORKS 1. SIGN UP Once you’re signed up, log in to view all available bounties. See one you like? Read through the project details, and get immediate clarity about deliverables, timelines and the verified compensation. 2. PICK AND APPLY So you found your perfect match of a project? Time to apply: let the questions of the form guide you through and add any relevant experience. Based on your application, the client will decide whether you are selected for the project or not. Fingers crossed! 3. GET SELECTED Your application has been reviewed and you are selected, hooray! Before you get started though, let’s align on the details. Click to accept the proposal and the agreed upon deliverables, timelines and budget will be automatically captured in a smart contract. Say goodbye to searching for an old-school contract template. 4. KNOW YOU’RE BEING PAID Remember the reason why you chose to be a creative and not an accountant? Focus on working your magic with peace of mind. FAQS Feeling curious and want the full intel on how Bounties and the technology behind it works? You’ve come to the right spot. WHAT IS A BOUNTY? A bounty is a paid, task-based creative project. A bounty can be anything from tweaking a line of code, mastering a rebrand, creating a content series or facilitating an event. WHO IS BOUNTIES FOR? Whether you’re a freelancer working in the creative industry, a student, someone at the start of your career, a seasoned expert, a web developer, content creator, designer, or product manager, Bounties has been designed to make it easier for you to find creative projects and get paid. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOUNTIES AND A TRADITIONAL JOB BOARD? Bounties enables creators and clients to work in new ways that traditional job boards haven’t been able to do before. Unlike traditional job boards, we able to guarantee you’ll be paid for your work. Every bounty has funds safely locked in escrow that you can see for yourself (see Receiving & Managing Payments) before deciding to apply and you’ll receive on completing each milestones. What’s more, is that you no longer have to think about setting up all the administrative bits and pieces or wading through all the legal technicalities and chasing payments. While Bounties is in beta and we’ll be improving features as we go, we’re inviting anyone to join that’s interested in what we’re offering to creatives. For anyone that signs up, you’ll be added to our mailing list to the latest bounties and product updates straight to your inbox. ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON WHO CAN SIGN UP FOR BOUNTIES? Bounties is open for anyone that is 18 years old and over. While we applaud young creative talent, due to our international nature, we have to consider differing employment laws and not all countries allow creators under 18 to complete work legally. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING FOR A BOUNTY? Outside of age, there are no requirements for you to apply for and complete a bounty. We invite individuals to apply for bounties that complement their experience and interests. Each bounty will come with its own set of milestones and scope of work that will be determined in your agreement. DOES BOUNTIES TAKE ANY COMMISSION ON EARNINGS? No, Bounties is commission-free! No commission will ever be deducted from your earnings. WHAT IS A SMART CONTRACT? Just what it sounds like, really! A smarter way to handle contracts. Like any contract, a smart contract establishes the terms of an agreement. In our case, it’s the terms of the bounty that you’ll be working on. The difference between a traditional contract and a smart contract is that the terms of the agreement are written in code and run on the blockchain rather than written on a piece of paper and looked after by a lawyer. For Bounties, we use smart contracts to securely receive and send transactions between clients and creators using our platform. Once a smart contract has been agreed upon and digitally signed, there’s no way of changing the existing terms. This provides protection and security for you and your client when working on a project together.
