HIDDEN BENEATH THE CITY, AN ELECTRONIC LABYRINTH AWAITS IN THE ABANDONED RAILWAY
TUNNELS BELOW WYNYARD STATION.

Open to the public for the very first time and premiering at Vivid Sydney, is
the world-first experience, Dark Spectrum.

Imagine standing deep underground, discovering a secret passageway and stepping
into a rainbow. You hear the pulse of Electronic Dance Music drawing you deeper.

Move through this eight-room experience, each area filled with a different
colour linked to its own altered soundscape taking you into a new time and
space. This underground light show fuses electronic dance music and lighting
tech to create a universal language inspired by the euphoria found on
underground dancefloors. Prepare to be inspired, unleash the mystery of Dark
Spectrum.

General admission tickets are available for purchase every day during the Vivid
Sydney season (May 26th to June 17th) and are also available to purchase on
Wednesday to Sunday from the 18th June to 16th July. Prices vary by day and time
slot.

The entrance for Dark Spectrum is located in Wynyard Park which is situated
between York Street and Carrington Street. Once your ticket is scanned, you will
be guided by a steward to the entrance. Please note, you will exit via
Cumberland Street in The Rocks.

This event involves flashing light sequences and strobe, smoke and haze effects
in some areas of the route. There are limited exits once inside the experience.

Dark Spectrum is suitable for a wide range of age groups to enjoy. However,
please be advised that children between the ages of 6 and 12 must be accompanied
by an adult; children aged 5 and under are not permitted into the event. For
safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted.

WHAT IS DARK SPECTRUM?

As part of Vivid Sydney, explore the abandoned railway tunnels below Wynyard.
Set in an immersive multi-media environment, this heightened visual and audio
experience transports you deep into Sydney’s legendary Wynyard underground
network.

WHERE IS DARK SPECTRUM TAKING PLACE?

Dark Spectrum is taking place in the Wynyard Tunnels, Sydney. The entrance is
via Wynyard Park Rooftop.

Please note, the exit for Dark Spectrum is located approx. 350m away from the
entrance. You will exit via Cumberland Street in The Rocks.


WHEN DOES DARK SPECTRUM OPEN?

Dark Spectrum will be open every day from 12pm until 9:15pm, 26 May to 18 June,
and open Wednesday – Sunday from 12pm until 9:15pm, 21 June to 16 July


WHO IS DARK SPECTRUM SUITABLE FOR?

Dark Spectrum is suitable for a wide range of age groups to enjoy. However,
please be advised that children between the ages of 6 and 12 must be accompanied
by an adult; children aged 5 and under are not permitted into the event.

Customer discretion is advised when purchasing tickets for those who may not be
comfortable amidst an immersive, high-volume experience. The experience takes
place along a one-way system in a series of underground tunnels with limited
exits once inside. Some of the lighting sequences will include flashing,
flickering and patterned effects, as well as strobe effects. Smoke and haze
effects may be used in some areas of the route.

For safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted.


IS DARK SPECTRUM PART OF VIVID SYDNEY?

Dark Spectrum is part of the Vivid Sydney program; however Dark Spectrum will
also run for an extended period for four weeks post Vivid Sydney completion.


TICKET INFORMATION


HOW DO I BOOK TICKETS FOR DARK SPECTRUM?

Tickets are available via the Ticketek website. Tickets may be available at the
box office onsite, where not sold out, on event dates between 26 May to 16 July.

Tickets for Dark Spectrum are timed in 15-minute increments between 12.00pm and
9.15pm. Times are approx. and subject to change at any time.


DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

We recommend booking in advance online. Each timed entry has a limited capacity,
and we expect this event to sell out. Tickets will be on sale at the venue when
not sold out on events nights only from 26 May to 16 July.


WHAT ARE THE TICKET PRICES?

Ticket prices vary depending on the date and time of your visit. General
admission tickets can be purchased for between $35 to $45 and child tickets (age
6 – 12 years) can be purchased for between $24 to $34. Family tickets (2 adults
and 2 children aged 6 – 12 years) can be purchased for between $98 and $150.

Children between the ages of 6 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult; children
aged 5 and under are not permitted into the event.

Tickets purchased on the day of the event are subject to a $5 increase per
person.


IF I BOOK THE WRONG DATE, CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET TO ANOTHER DATE?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. It is important to make sure that you
choose the right date and time slot when you buy tickets, as we are not able to
offer exchanges or refunds after tickets have been purchased.


IF I AM DELAYED AND MISS MY TIMESLOT, CAN I JOIN A LATER SLOT?

We may not be able to guarantee entry if you do not show up at the time
indicated on your ticket. Please give yourself enough time to arrive and check
in for the event. If you do arrive late, we may ask you to wait until we can
accommodate you.


DO YOU ACCEPT COMPANION CARDS?

Yes, holders of a government issued companion card can access a free ticket for
their companion. Proof of eligibility will be required upon entry.

Groups of 21+ are eligible for a discount of 10% on Dark Spectrum tickets. If

GETTING HERE


WHERE DO I ENTER DARK SPECTRUM?

The entrance to Dark Spectrum is via Wynyard Park Rooftop above Wynyard Train
Station. Tickets will be scanned in Wynyard Park near the ticket booth
positioned between York St and Carrington St. Once your ticket is scanned you
will be guided by a steward to the entrance.


WILL THERE BE CAR PARKING AVAILABLE?

No, there is no specific parking for the event. We recommend you check with
local authorities or use a map finding service to find the best option for you.


WHERE IS THE NEAREST PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

A popular trip planner for Sydney Public Transport System includes the Transport
for New South Wales (TfNSW) Trip Planner, Google Maps, and Moovit. These
services can be accessed online through a mobile app.

Wynyard Park is situated next to a main bus terminal and above Wynyard Train
Station. Please see below for suggested bus routes that may pass Wynyard bus
terminal.

Bus: 120, 168X, 170X, 293, 320, 325, 392X, 396X, 426, 438X

We would suggest you check the most up to date route prior to starting your
journey.


WILL THERE BE BIKE PARKING?

There is no designated bike parking for Dark Spectrum at Wynyard Park or inside
Wynyard Train Station.


SHOULD I ARRIVE IN ADVANCE OF MY VISIT TIME?

It is best to arrive about 15 minutes before the entrance time printed on your
ticket. Your entry time is a 15-minute window from the time printed on your
ticket.

The last entry into the tunnels will be allowed 10 minutes after the final
advertised timeslot. The event exit door will close 60 minutes after the final
advertised timeslot.


EVENT INFORMATION


HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE ALLOW FOR THIS EVENT?

That depends on your pace and how often you stop. However, as a general rule,
you should allow about 60 minutes to ensure you have enough time to enjoy the
full experience.


WILL THERE BE A CLOAKROOM?

No. There is no cloakroom or stroller storage available at Dark Spectrum.


WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINKS AVAILABLE?

No food and drink will be available for purchase at the event. Please refrain
from bringing your own food and drink to the experience.


HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR THIS EVENT?

We advise you to dress warmly when attending Dark Spectrum. Whilst the event is
not exposed to the elements, temperatures inside the tunnels will be similar to
those outside.


CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

Absolutely and we would love you to share them! Be sure to use hashtags
#DarkSpectrum, #VividSydney and #SonyMusic and tag @vividsydney.

For safety reasons no tripods or monopods will be allowed.


ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED?

No. For safety reasons, strollers or prams are not permitted onto the Dark
Spectrum route. There will not be a designated area to store strollers or prams
at the event.


IS THE EVENT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH SENSORY SENSITIVITY?

Guests with sensory sensitivity are welcome in Dark Spectrum at any time,
however, please note that the event is a light and sound show that will be loud
in some spaces and will include strobe effects and flashing lights.

We expect the event to attract a large audience at peak times and would advise
visiting on weekdays before 2pm should you wish to avoid larger crowds.


WILL THE EVENT BE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Whilst every effort is made to make the event fully accessible, the landscape
within the tunnel covers some difficult terrain with a number of varying
gradients. These areas can be particularly challenging and wheelchair users may
require assistance.


IS THERE WHITE STROBE LIGHTING OR FLASHING LIGHTING EFFECTS?

Yes. Some lighting sequences will include flashing, flickering and patterned
effects, and strobe effects.


WILL SMOKE OR HAZE EFFECTS BE USED?

Smoke and haze effects may be used in some areas of the route.


WILL THERE BE RESTROOMS INSIDE THE TUNNELS?

There will not be restrooms available inside the tunnels, however some
facilities will be available in Wynyard Park at the start of the experience.


ARE PETS ALLOWED?

No pets allowed, except for service animals. However, please note that Dark
Spectrum is filled with stimulus that could upset animals. There will be
flashing lights, loud noises, and many people.
