CLASSIC REVIEW: TECHNIC IDEA BOOK 8888

When it comes to technology, I have sort of a split personality. I simply love
modern technology. I couldn’t imagine a life without a small rectangle in my
pocket that can give me all the information I need, show me movies, or have
contact with people from all over the world. Heck, I wouldn’t have come out of
my Dark Ages if it wasn’t for sites like Peeron and later Rebrickable. Without
exaggerating I can say 98% of my social contacts are done digitally, with people
from the USA to Australia, and a lot of countries in between.

MINI MOC MADNESS - 31133 WHITE RABBIT

Time for some more Mini MOC Maddness! Where my aim is to have fun building
smaller MOCs, and encourage others to do the same. It is always impressive just
how many alternate builds can be submitted for a single set. How many different
ways people can come up with of rearranging the same small pile of parts. I also
really enjoy getting to know designers who make smaller MOCs. This time I will
be looking at the Creator 3 in 1 set 31133-1 White Rabbit. If you have a good
memory you would know that I already did a review of this set last year, but I
think it is about time I traded my Cockatoo for something else.

REVIEW: 71431-1 - BOWSER'S MUSCLE CAR EXPANSION SET

For a long time, I haven't paid much attention to the Super Mario theme. Not
that I don't like it; the sets look great with a lot of bright colors, clever
builds and playability. But aside from playing some games about 30 years ago, as
well as annoying store employees while playing on a Nintendo 64 display model
(remember the amazing new concept of 3D graphics in Nintendo games!), I have
little knowledge of the Mario Universe. In addition, most sets seem to be an
expansion on the starter sets, featuring stages for the electronic Mario,
Princess Peach and Luigi to run through, something that I personally am not
really attracted to. Exceptions are sets like 71426-1 Piranha Plant and 71411-1
The Mighty Bowser that are meant for display.
