OAKBERRY ACAI BOWLS

819-B State St, Santa Barbara
805-284-8540
Category: Bowls, Smoothies

Brazilian husband and wife team Ana Luiza Amaral and Paulo Roberto operate
Oakberry Acai Bowls in Paseo Nuevo at 819-B State Street, next to Sushi Tyme.
Famous for their all organic products and unlimited toppings, Oakberry has
outlets throughout Brazil and continues international expansion with Santa
Barbara being their first store in California. The fast superfood chain has over
220 locations worldwide.

Through their exclusive Acai recipe, with an organic product, all natural,
without adding colorants or agrotoxic and being trans-fat and cholesterol free,
Oakberry offers to the clients three bowls and smoothie sizes (classic, works
and The OAK). When ordering an Acai bowl the consumer can choose unlimited
toppings from a list with over 20 options, like banana, granola, coconut, chia
seeds, organic peanut butter, organic honey and others. For the smoothies the
customer chooses up to 3 toppings from a dozen options on the menu which are
quickly blended into your meal.

"We believe that the people became more careful with their eating patterns these
days. With the ever-shortening amount of time that the average person has for a
meal, we want to give the customer the opportunity to choose between a common
fast-food and a fast SUPERFOOD," explains Georgios Frangulis, who founded the
company in 2016. "From the order to the handover, the client waits for only 2
minutes."

Oakberry is open from every day from 8:00am to 8:00pm.

532 1/2 State St, Santa Barbara
805-884-4085

Old Kings Road is a nice change from the craze of the downtown nightlife. It's a
dimly-lit true dive of a bar with great music, billiards, and a great selection
of beer on tap, and the decor is quite festive. The staff are friendly and
attentive. There is little doubt that Old Kings Road has put together a winning
team who feel like family The cast and crew of this British pub are all
delightful. For those just passing through, the drinks and service are on point,
the vibe is comfortable and homey, and the price is right. Old Kings Road is not
pretentious at all. It's a Santa Barbara staple.

THE SPORTSMAN

1226 State St, Santa Barbara
805-564-4411

There are a few dive bars in downtown Santa Barbara, hidden between upscale
Italian bistros and fusion sushi outlets and among them The Sportsman generates
some seriously good vibes. It doesn't fit all the dive criteria: the floors are
clean, it smells good and the interior is free of dusty health hazards from a
bygone era. But it still manages to deliver on warmth and heart. Often referred
to as Santa Barbara's oldest dive bar, for decades The Sportsman has served as
primarily a locals-only liquor hangout. Serving a range of tasty food and drink,
The Sportsman in Santa Barbara will have you thinking about seconds (or thirds).
Find the perfect vintage to complement your meal - this restaurant offers a fine
selection of wines, beers, and beyond.

ingredients such as vanilla, cocoa nibs, coffee and peppers. All their beer is
brewed in a 3-vessel, 15-barrel, Premier Stainless brewing system. Everything
from recipe development, ingredient selection, the brewing process and packaging

MODERN TIMES BEER

418 State St, Santa Barbara
805-566-9294

Modern Times Beer offers 34 different beers on tap, with the core lineup being
about 8, while the rest rotate in constantly to give you access to everything
they have to offer. All beer offerings are brewed at their Portland, Los
Angeles, or San Diego locations, and each region brews different things
depending on needs and production schedules. In addition to the tasting room
they have a kitchen for hot food and a mini-mart with beer to-go and
t-shirts/bags.

The bar menu is 100% plant-based yet not in the traditional sense, going for
bolder and richer flavors than you might expect. They offer a double-double
burger, a Bratwurst Schnitzel sandwich, loaded chili verde fries, Kimchi, and
more. The cheese is made from coconut milk while the proteins are made by Beyond
Meat which recently had a wildly successful public offering.

When you walk into Modern Times Beer, one of the first things you will notice is
the huge outdoor patio (one of the largest if not the largest in Santa Barbara)
and an extensive amount of art on the walls. Modern Times Beer has an in-house
art team that created all the design elements that you see. They designed the
to-go beer can labels, the merchandise, the tasting room space - pretty much
everything under the roof or outdoors.

Continuing with the everything-done-in-house theme, Modern Times Beer also
roasts their own coffee, available for sale as whole bean or cold brew in cans
or in draft.

Nice little theater on State Street. Nothing fancy, but the theater is perfectly
located if you want to catch a show while it and about in downtown Santa
Barbara. An old vaudeville house on lower State Street, the former Mission
Theatre was built in the 1913 and had 1,000 seats. By 1941 it was operated by

converted into a fourplex (built within), with a new marquee. The old stage
house was walled off and and the dressing rooms converted into retail space.
There is a small history display on your right, when going to the cinemas,

Asher Market is a mom shop in Santa Barbara with unique children's clothing and
home decor. It is a lifestyle brand designed and curated by travel aficionado
and mom, Ashley Hayes. A genuine life requires thoughtful choices of the items
we include in our daily lives. Let your things say something about the colors
you love and the textures that inspire you. Choose wisely and live beautifully.

Traveling the world to bring you the most beautiful finds, I have focused in on
the luxurious yet practical alpaca yarn. Designed by me in California and made
in Peru, my alpaca blend throws are beyond soft and never itchy. They are also
machine washable! Being a mom and someone who generally loves to use the items I
buy (I don't live in a museum!), the washability of my products shines as a most
important quality. My scarves and ponchos are made of the same material.

The baby alpaca items are comparable to cashmere in their quality and softness.
Baby alpaca is the finest fiber of alpaca yarn and, as such, these items are dry
clean only.

prices, clothing styles, and accessory items to American customers by taking
"store style" photos of the clothing worn by the customers shopping in-store. To
keep a European aesthetic within American stores, Brandy Melville marks the
prices of clothing items with a fake "euro". One "euro" equals one American

LUCKY BRAND

805 State St, Santa Barbara
805-962-5539

We know that jeans are much more than just denim and grommets; they’re a true
blue American icon. Staying true to the rich heritage - and authentic,
all-American spirit - of denim, Lucky Brand began crafting great-fitting,
vintage-inspired jeans in Los Angeles in 1990. We gave them their distinctively
Lucky look by literally putting them through the wringer - ripping, fraying,
sanding, patching and washing by hand - to give them true character and soul.
Then, we added authentic hardware, personalized touches and playful details, and
an American legend was born.

Our jeans are made for the free-thinker, the artist, the dreamer; they’re made
to dance, work, run, jump, play and rock ‘n’ roll (just like you). Our
inspiration doesn’t just come from the rugged workwear of denim pioneers, but
from the free spirit and laid-back lifestyle of our Southern California roots.
We find inspiration everywhere, from the secluded outlooks of Big Sur, to the
old-school tattoo parlors of Venice and the beautiful beaches of Malibu. We
reference music, art and photography - old and new - to create truly unique
pieces that you’ll wear over and over again.

Lucky Brand locations can be found all over North America - 250 stores (and
counting) - as well as in select department stores, and online at
LuckyBrand.com.
