Annual Legislative Forum ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE FORUM DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPPORTS DIVISION The King County Developmental Disabilities Legislative Forum is an opportunity to educate elected officials on issues that are important to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) or delays and their families, friends, and supporters. This is done through sharing King County's I/DD legislative priorities, and also by having our community members share their personal stories as they relate to the priorities. 2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION 2024 LEGISLATIVE FORUM: PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! Join us on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at the DoubleTree Suites, 16500 Southcenter Parkway, to hear from individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and delays and their family members, learn about King County's 2024 legislative priorities, and connect with legislators. Check back in fall for the registration link, or sign up for our emails at GovDelivery. * Doors Open at 6 P.M. * Forum 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. * Coffee & Tea Provided DOWNLOAD AND SHARE A SAVE THE DATE * English * አማርኛ - Amharic * العربية - Arabic * 中文(简体) - Chinese (Simplified) * 中文(繁體) - Chinese (Trad.) * 한국어 - Korean * РУССКИЙ - Russian * SOOMAALI - Somali * ESPAÑOL - Spanish * УКРАЇНСЬКА - Ukrainian * TIẾNG VIỆT - Vietnamese FOR MORE INFORMATION Contact Jenna Wolfstone Project Manger 206-263-8860 jenna.wolfstone@kingcounty.gov 2024 LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES: YOUR INPUT IS VALUABLE! The King County Developmental Disabilities and Early Childhood Supports Division (DDECSD) invites you to share your input in an online survey. This survey is your chance to share the issues you think legislators should focus on in the 2024 session. The survey will close on September 30, 2023. HOW WE WILL USE YOUR INPUT 1. Legislative input will help us decide what King County's intellectual and developmental disabilities legislative priorities will be for 2024. These priorities will be shared with legislators at our annual Legislative Forum in the fall of 2023. Legislative issues are those that may need laws or government funding in order to make change. 2. Administrative input will help us administer the programs for which we provide oversight. Administrative issues are those that impact King County residents but do not require a change in laws. You can learn more about the services we administer on this website.
