When a company has a healthy culture of belonging, it reaps many benefits: high
performance, highly engaged employees, psychological safety, and the freedom to
be authentic. But many organizations drift into the opposite condition. They
suffer from ineffective practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
One of the symptoms is inadvertently excluding some in an attempt to include
others. How can companies recognize when they need an intervention? What steps
should they take to reverse the syndrome–and who should manage the process? What
will it look like when they embed belonging at the team and organizational
level?

Renu is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces where people can show up
as their authentic selves and feel a deep sense of belonging and connection with
their colleagues. She believes in the transformative power of coaching to shift
personal paradigms and belief systems so we can more fully accept ourselves and
others.

 

Renu embraces her identity as a woman of color and leverages her own lived
experiences in Corporate America to connect with her coaching clients of diverse
backgrounds. As an empathic and intuitive coach, she creates a safe space for
learning and self-exploration.

 

Renu has worked in the professional services industry for more than 13 years in
the areas of DEI and talent optimization. Over the course of her career, she has
developed and facilitated innovative workshops, led over 22 Employee Resource
Groups, and created a system to measure performance equity for a market of over
4,000 professionals. Renu has taught DEI courses at the University of Houston
and been featured in a variety of top leadership publications, including
Forbes.  As Head of DEI in the Americas for Talking Talent, Renu provides
clients with coach-led solutions that drive a more diverse, equitable, and
inclusive workplace.
