Yes correct. if I am not wrong, - Visa Signature 1.2% - Red Hot online 2.0% - 5x reward 2.4% Double check the red hot online, it is limited to 10k per quarter I think. So I use the visa signature one time every quarter, and the rest of the time I use the Red card. The item I want to purchase is out of stock until January, so I thought buying gift cards might be a good workaround. I did manage to use up my AM expiring this year, but next year is a whole other problem; hopefully the situation will improve by Q3/Q4. Anyway back to the HSBC RC... I see that we can convert 1RC to 50 MoneyBack, with a maximum of 1,000RC per day, 5,000RC per month and 10,000RC per year. MoneyBack will have two years before expiry and then can convert to AM at 5MB to 1 AM. MoneyBack can also convert back into RC at 50:1, with maximum 1,000RC per conversion. (I couldn't find any maximum for monthly or yearly, this info would be good to know) So it seems like MoneyBack is a good solution to avoid expiring RC, as long as the amount is less than 10,000RC at the end of the year. As can always convert it back to RC or AM later. Am I missing anything? fluffydot View Public Profile Find More Posts by fluffydot Dec 21, 20, 6:03 am #432 percysmith Ambassador, Hong Kong and Macau Join Date: May 2009 Location: HKG Programs: Asia Miles. Why aren't you simply converting Rewardcash into cash rebate thru Reward+ app?! percysmith View Public Profile Find More Posts by percysmith Dec 21, 20, 6:20 am #433 fluffydot Join Date: Jun 2011 Location: HKG Programs: MPC -> QFF Posts: 204 Quote: Originally Posted by percysmith What? So this solution gets 1RC = HK$1 or equivalent to 10 cents per AM in value. Given the circumstances this year, it is probably the best bet. But as a hobbyist, I'm still tempted to keep the RC for future miles and long haul redemption. Of course I realize I'm being extremely optimistic here. I'll think about it.
