The Philippines’ public holidays are announced the year before by the government
in power. Public holidays in 2023 are divided into three categories: regular
public holidays, special non-working days, and additional special non-working
days.

As a predominantly catholic country, the Philippines’ biggest holidays are
typically around Easter and Christmas.

Notably, with a large Muslim population in the south, a number of key Islamic
