XR Mastermind Group * About Us * Members * Membership XR MASTERMIND GROUP A global community of XR developers dedicated to sharing knowledge. ABOUT US -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XR Mastermind Group is a global community for XR developers that want to exchange knowledge and ideas. Our group was founded in 2022, and since then we have been meeting biweekly to discuss progress on our current projects (so we can hold each other accountable), share resources, and help each other solve technical problems. SOME OF OUR MEMBERS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have 17 active members. Here is a list of members who requested to be displayed here: ESTUDIO NOON Alaa “Zak” Noweihed is a game developer and XR enthusiast who founded eStudio NooN in 2014. He has since has published multiple VR short titles on Steam and AppLab. His current focus is in building casual VR / AR experiences and simulations using XR. Currently working on Wacky Invader Saga for Meta Quest. GLENNEROO Glenneroo is a programmer, photographer and digital artist based in Vienna. He is one of the founding members of United Motion Labs, an experimental lab dedicated to creating immersive audio-visual installations. Previously he worked on the art/science VR project Noise Aquarium (www.NoiseAquarium.com) to raise ecological awareness. He started working on his current VR game DodgeALL in early 2020. VIRTUAL DESTRUCTOR Amir Tavakoli (aka Virtual Destructor) is a programmer who has been developing VR games since 2013. His current project is a VR FPS game called Realm of the Fallen. In 2014 and 2015 he released several small games that built traction in the early consumer VR community, including Temple of Merk and EvadeVR. Prior to being a VR game developer, Amir was a professional software engineer and worked on both desktop and mobile apps. RAPHAEL AUBUT Meet Raphael Aubut, a dynamic Research Intern XR Developer at Spatial Technologies Applied Research and Training (START), located in Canada. Passionate about this technology, he decided to dedicate his time and effort to developing it. He specializes in level design and considers himself a junior technical artist using Unity and Unreal. You can connect with Raphael on LinkedIn to learn about his latest work. WARREN BLYTH Warren graduated with a CS degree in 2001, and after a decade at OptiTrack, he started Solid Fuel Studios LLC to publish comic books, art movies, and experimental video games. For 15 years he has developed small games and animations each term for dozens of distance courses at Oregon State University Ecampus. He has co-authored a paper: "Current and Future Uses of Augmented Reality in Higher Education." MEMBERSHIP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Currently membership is by invitation only. We will add an application form soon. These are the requirements for membership: * Have a technical skill (programming, 3D modeling, or audio). * Be involved in the XR industry either as a professional or independently, and be actively developing an XR software project, or have shipped one in the past. * Be committed to attending meetings regularly. We have two meeting times per week. We encourage members to attend at least one meeting per week. Inactive members are removed at our discretion, usually after two months of inactivity.
