WHAT DOES BIO TRANSLATE INTERNATIONAL STAND FOR?

Bio Translate International is a North to South Pan-African Renaissance
organization to bring together professionals living in Africa and the diaspora
to contribute towards common societal. Bio Translate implies to “Bio = Life” and
Translate = improve or make better” to delineate our fundamental principles. We
intend to Bio Translate the young generation into social entrepreneurs hence the
term “Science for social Impact”. We intend to develop social entrepreneurs
against poverty for reliable and sustainable social economic transformation.

SUPPORT FOR THE ISLAND KIDS UGANDA

Island Kids Uganda was founded by Ms Emily Irene Nalukwago and her husband Mr
Lubwaama  Balibaawo Kisitu. The organisation is overseen by Ms Emily Irene
Nalukwago an experienced Accountant, philanthropist, pan–Africanist and social
activist. Island Kids Uganda is a fully registered indigenous non–governmental
organisation incorporated on 06–September–2019, number 3490 (file number
MIA/NB/2019/09/2946) based in Kalangala district as per Government of Uganda NGO
Act of 2016. The organisation’s aim is to improve the livelihood of vulnerable
communities in Kalangala district through education, health and
self–sustainability initiatives. The organisation is targeting vulnerable
populations including children, families, orphans and refugees in Kalangala
district. This is done through provision of health, education, vocational
skilling for self–sustainability, agribusiness initiatives, environmental
conservation and sustainable income generation. Before incorporation, we were
operating as a family ran community initiative since 2007 until it evolved into
a full NGO status. We have since nurtured and trained over 1500 children
assuming an annual intake of approximately 100 children. We intend to reach out
to all 84 Ssese islands located within Lake Victoria (the 2nd largest
fresh water lake in the world). These are 38 kilometres away from mainland
Northwest of Uganda under Kalangala district. The main islands are Bugala,
Bugaba, bubeke, bubembe, bukasa, bufumira and funve among others. Our
coordinating centre is located in Bugaba Island amidst all these other sites.

public-private partnership open model of innovation and implementation requires
your input. Join us in this historic and unique science for social impact
pan-African movement. This humanitarian not-for-profit organization was started
by the Mbogo family and friends with the sole aim of making a societal impact to
the most vulnerable and needy people in Africa and the world at large. We use
