The ABWO was founded 1996 as a means of commemorating the Battle of Arnhem and the preservation of the airborne vehicles that were used during the second World War. Every year in September we organize a grand weekend for all WW2 British airborne vehicle owners and reenactors. ABWO WEEK Welcome at the ABWO camp site 2023! What can participants expect during our event? Our event takes 4 full days; from Thursday the 14th until Sunday the 17th of September. This includes catering for 3 evening meals, and an English breakfast on the Sunday morning. On the Saturday evening, the meal consists of a full BBQ meal. We organize an historic tour on the Friday afternoon, and an educational excursion Operation Berlin for a group of Primary School children on the Friday evening. All-time main event is the Race to the Bridge on the Saturday afternoon. Participation is free for participants of the ABWO event. We provide free toilets and showers on the site. In our party tent you can enjoy the evenings and have a drink at the bar. On Saturday evening we present live music from ‘Bubbles and Boa’s’.
