HOW WILL YOU FLOURISH AT WILLIAM WOODS?

Students choose to flourish at William Woods University for all sorts of
reasons.
What will yours be?

1) RESOURCES THAT RAISE YOU UP.

We see our students as individuals. While no two paths are the same, William
Woods University has developed programs and opportunities to help you flourish
in college — and your career. Our supportive faculty mentors and your fellow
Owls will be with you every step of the way.

 * $5,000 LEAD Award

   At William Woods, every student is offered a $5,000 L.E.A.D. award for campus
   involvement. It’s how we build community and ensure a private college
   education is affordable for everyone. The L.E.A.D. award is renewable for up
   to four years ($2,500 for commuter students) and is just one component of our
   extensive scholarship and financial aid offerings.

 * Internships and Service Learning

   Most of our programs include an internship component; some include several.
   Through practical portfolio-based coursework, relevant field trips,
   career-focused service and leadership, and community involvement, our
   students graduate with real world experiences and a solid foundation for
   career success.

 * State-of-the-Art Spaces

   Where you learn matters. William Woods makes sure you have the resources to
   fully explore your program of study. Our Center for Human Performance, Cox
   Art Gallery and studios, model courtroom, MAC and film labs, cybersecurity
   testing center, and soon-to-open Center for Equine Medicine are examples of
   our top-notch, student-focused facilities and amenities.

 * Freshman Advantage

   Because we care about you, we offer the Freshman Advantage program to ease
   the transition to college. Faculty and upper-class mentors help you get to
   know the William Woods campus and community as you earn early college credit
   — and make new friends too.

 * Woods 101

   Woods 101 is an event designed to welcome you to campus, and prepare you for
   your first semester and beyond. We’ll get you registered for classes, take
   care of your ID and logins, and help jump start your social life. So when
   move-in day comes, you’ll have all the details covered. And be ready to
   flourish.

 * Woods Around the World

   Study abroad and explore the world. Our Woods Around the World program is a
   unique approach to education that takes you outside the classroom and into
   another culture. Our students have journeyed to every corner of the globe;
   we’ll work with you to ensure you can, too.

 * Honors Program

   Challenge yourself with a selective program that includes a scholarship for
   dedicated, imaginative students who love to learn. Live, study and experience
   new academic adventures alongside like-minded students in a supportive
   learning community.

 * Master's Degree Pathways

   If you're interested in graduate school, the Plus One program gives you a
   faster route to success. By adding just one year of study to your degree
   plan, you can earn a William Woods master’s degree in our business,
   leadership or education programs. We also support graduate school planning
   with pre-professional pathways.

 * Mentor-Mentee Program

   William Woods is one of a small number of universities that offers
   undergraduate students real opportunities to get involved in research and
   creative work. Under the guidance of a faculty mentor, you'll gain hands-on
   experience, assume greater responsibilities, and be empowered to flourish.

 * Career Services

   Come talk to us. From degree planning to interview preparation, graduate
   school questions and help with internships, we’re here to set you up for
   success. From the start of your first semester and every day after ... let’s
   get planning.
