I am not really sure, but the issue is helped by the fact that the island is
really fucking small, as in the town is less than a sq.mile large

The island not only allows electric mobility scooters but rents them out at a
number of spots too. And because there are no cars, it's actually safe and
convenient to use them. They also have horse-drawn taxis (wheelchair accessible
according to the island) and plenty of benches all over

accessible that it almost sounds like you're concern trolling

local who needs to have a consistent temperature environment due to disability,
you’d have to move somewhere that allows cars. Cars are accessibility devices
sometimes.

country where 99.99982934% of the population live fucking love cars and in fact
do everything in their power to get you to drive one. Even if you can’t due to
disability

I’m not going to pretend like a car can never be an accessibility tool, because
unlike someone, I’m not disingenuous. But a tiny and unaffordable island of 530
people banning cars as one of 3 or 4 places in anglomerica is so insignificant
next to any of the actual barriers to their accessibility uses. Maybe preach
about it once making a car accessible for any particular mobility impairment
doesn’t cost more than buying the car in the first place
