Around 400 guests gathered at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel last Friday for the
North West Regional Construction Awards.

In a pre-recorded message, Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram welcomed
guests to the event.

“I am delighted that the Liverpool City Region can once again play host to the
North West construction sector at the heart of the North Liverpool regeneration
area,” Rotheram said.

The 2021 NWRCA were sponsored by Place North West, Place Tech, Wates
Construction, Tilbury Douglas, Morgan Sindall, Hays Recruitment, AB Engineering,
and Relentless.

The awards are held in partnership with Constructing Excellence in the North
West, and were hosted by the School of Science, Engineering and Environment at
the University of Salford and the Centre for Construction Innovation.

practice”. Credit: via Clear

“The awards help to provide a space to share innovation and best practice as
well as demonstrating the contribution of the sector to improved social value,
and economic and environmental outcomes,” said Peter McDermott, chair of
Constructing Excellence in the North West, and professor of construction
procurement at the University of Salford.

Communications agency Clear produced and managed the event.
