CAREERPREPPED SUPPORTS KEY CTE INITIATIVES

CAREERPREPPED SUPPORTS ESSA, PERKINS V AND WIOA FUNDED PROGRAMS

ESSA, Perkins V and WIOA all require programs to prepare students and
participants for success in the workplace. The laws require programs and
services to help students and participants engage in learning for career success
and advancement. All three statues allow, and in some cases require, states to
establish performance indicators that include success in life, such as securing
employment, improving job skills and earning family-sustaining wages.

* Coordinating ESSA, Perkins V and WIOA to address rapidly evolving education
and workforce needs. SREB Policy Brief June 2019.
