<p>January 3rd is the day to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Bitcoin Blockchain.</p>
<p>Currently, 14 years and a day have passed since the inception of the Bitcoin blockchain, which is a wonderful achievement added to the achievements of Bitcoin, which did not know stopping throughout its life.</p>
<p>On January 3, 2009, at the height of the global financial crisis, the Bitcoin genesis block was launched by Satoshi Nakamoto, a well-known anonymous hero in the crypto community, whose true identity is still unknown.</p>
<p>The genesis block was the first of its kind in the Bitcoin blockchain and marked the beginning of a new era in decentralized digital money and the launch of one of the most revolutionary inventions of this century.</p>
<p>The genesis block contained 50 bitcoins, which were not spent, as cryptographers assumed this would count as a reward for running nodes on the network.</p>
<p>The Genesis block also contains an old newspaper headline from the London Times, which read:</p>
<p> The Chancellor is about to bail out the banks again.</p>
<p>This was thought to be a statement about the state of money in general at the time, with banks being bailed out by irresponsible banking practices.</p>
<p>But then it was explained that “Satoshi” used this title to refer to opposition to the way big banks ran things before the advent of cryptocurrencies, and how something like Bitcoin could make those same banks redundant by providing
decentralized solutions for managing financial transactions.</p>
<p>The Bitcoin blockchain network has changed itself dramatically since its humble beginnings 10 years ago, now totaling more than 770,111 blocks.</p>
<p>Despite the passage of 14 years, Bitcoin is still at the forefront of cryptocurrencies and even contributed to a new market that was once worth more than $3 trillion.</p>
