ARK SERVER BENCHMARKS Check your results against the rest of the world… Example Download mod INFORMATION This Ark mod is used to measure server performance through some standardised testing. This mod is a map so that the variance between different Ark maps can be ignored. METRICS VERSION This will state which version the benchmark test is currently at to allow you to confidantly compare based on version number, if any changes are made to the mod which would affect how metrics are calculated then the version number in the results will increment. BENCHMARK Official is currently the only type of benchmark coded into the mod, however if at a later date more specific benchmarks are added they will have their own description here. SERVER NAME The Text name you applied to your server, as with everything Ark, special characters might not work too well. SFPS The Server FPS is measured every second for the duration of the benchmark and then averaged, the result is given as a percentage of 30 SFPS. 10,000 custom creatures are spawned during this benchmark, they are programmed not to go into stasis and instructued to poop a lot (It wouldn’t Ark if there wasn’t poop involved) to stress the system. WRITE The mod creates a SaveGameObject and times how long it takes for that object to be saved to disk. The result is given as a percentage against a target time. KILL The benchmark loops through each creature to call a function within the creature BP to kill the creature, this process adds considerable load to the server due to death animations and ragdolls. The result is given as a percentage against a target time. TIME The total time it takes to complete the benchmark process against the time it should take expressed as a percentage. OVERALL A weighted average of all scores to give you a percentage score you can use to compare different hardware and configurations. Website made with spaghetti code and help from people far smarter than I am.
