What do I need to bring?

You need to carry your original photo id proof which you need to show at the
time of registration. The IITian in the team needs to bring documents like –
student card, alumnus card or anything equivalent for verification. This is a
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) hackathon for coding, testing, creating demo and
presentation.



Is it open to all?

Yes, this competition is open to all, with a restriction of one team member
being an IITian.



When and where can I apply?

The applications are open till midnight 15th October 2023. All you have to do is
create an account on Skillenza platform and register.



Do I have to pay anything for attending the hackathon?

No, it’s free of charge. There are no hidden charges.



When will the results get published?

 * Results of Idea submission stage will be announced on October 25th, 2023.
 * Results of prototype design submission stage will be announced on November
   8th, 2023.
 * Results of MVP submission stage will be announced on December 8th, 2023.
 * Hackathon winners will be announced on December 9th, 2023



Do we need to build a full application or is a prototype fine?

 * For Idea submission and Prototype design submission stage, submit it in
   specified format.
 * For MVP submission stage, working prototype is mandatory.



Do we have to create presentation slides?

Yes, you must have slides to pitch your idea, followed by a demo of your MVP.



What languages can I use to code?

You are free to use any language of your choice. But there are must use
technologies for each theme which is mandatory.



How will the Hackathon be carried out?

Processes such as Registration, Team formation, Idea Submission and Prototype
design submission for the hackathon will take place on the Skillenza platform.
Meanwhile, stages including MVP submission and D-day events are scheduled to be
held at Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru.



How and when the team is formed?

You can start forming your teams on the Skillenza platform from 25th August 2023
until 18th October 2023



Can I code in my local system and then upload the file to the Skillenza
platform?

Yes you can work on your local system and upload it on the Skillenza to the
respective stages.

Note: Anyone from the team is only allowed to upload.



Can I participate alone, without a team?

No, the team size must consist of either 3 or 4 members.



What qualifications must I have to be able to participate in the hackathon?

It is a requirement that each team includes at least one member affiliated with
an IIT, either as a student, alumnus, or faculty.



What is the venue for the Hackathon?

D-day will be held at Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru.



Who will own the IP of my hack?

The developer/developers of the application will have all rights and own the IP
of the product. However, all code needs to be in public domain (open source) so
that it can be evaluated by the judges.



Is it an invite only hackathon?

Yes, you will be shortlisted based on your Idea and prototype design submission.
Your team will receive a personalized invite for the Hackathon.



Will there be any reimbursement?

Yes, Travel Support allowance will be provided.
For Distance under 300Kms allowance given will be Rs.750/per person.
For Distance over 300Kms allowance given will be Rs.2500/per person.



Will there be any certificates provided for this Hackathon?

Yes, certificates will be provided for this hackathon.



Do we need to build a full application or is a prototype fine?

For the prototype design submission stage, submission has to be made in a
specified format. (PDFs and Youtube or Vimeo Links)
For the Final hackathon stage a working prototype is fine.



Since it is only one from a team is allowed to submit the files/link for Idea
Submission and Prototype Submission. What if we uploaded the wrong file and
still we have deadline to submit?

In that scenario, you can ask your other teammates to upload the right file. The
last file submitted will be taken into consideration.
