Essentra Components are committed to playing our part in solving global
sustainability challenges. Our corporate sustainability goals supported by our
Senior Leadership Team are integral to being a responsible corporate citizen:

 * 25% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025, and making direct
   operations net zero by 2040
 * All sites will be Zero Waste To Landfill certified by 2030
 * 20% reduction in the volume of waste produced by 2030
 * 20% of packaging and raw materials from more sustainable sources by 2025

MAKING OUR PRODUCTS RECYCLABLE AND USE RESOURCES EFFECTIVELY

As an active participant in the circular economy, Essentra Components are a
signatory of the European Commission’s Circular Plastics Alliance. This
solidifies our commitment to increasing the use of recycled polymer raw
materials in our product range, alongside playing our role in expanding the
European recycled plastics market to ten million tonnes by 2025.

Essentra Components are committed to developing products that help our customers
reduce their environmental impact and that’s why we are focusing on making our
products recyclable and using resources effectively. This includes increasing
the amount of recycled plastics across our polypropylene (PP) and low-density
polyethylene (LDPE) product ranges. Our LDPE products contain 50% recycled
content as standard. The plant in Kidlington has been manufacturing products
including recycled material since April 2021, and our Erie and Barcelona plants
since March 2022. We continue to support our customers in their waste management
activities with our recyclable solutions, looking at our other ranges to bring
our customers a variety of sustainable solutions. We can also offer our
customers flexibility with sustainable alternatives for their custom products,
tailored to their needs.

2.5MILLION PARTS FROM LANDFILL.

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

As part of our carbon footprint reduction programme, we have made significant
investment in new electric injection moulding machinery. All end-of-life
inefficient hydraulic machinery is due to be replaced by the end of 2031. So far
we have replaced 180 machines and 32 more have been identified for replacement
in the next year. As part of our energy reduction programme we are working to
optimise the energy consumption of each of our sites globally, including
introducing more efficient LED lighting and carrying out energy audits.




ZERO WASTE TO LANDFILL

As part of our aim to have all our sites certified Zero Waste To Landfill by
2030, Essentra Components is optimising its operations to monitor and reduce
waste. We are working to divert at least 99% of all our business waste from
landfill, choosing more sustainable disposal methods alongside implementing the
waste hierarchy.




SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING

Essentra Components and the wider Essentra Plc believe in being transparent
about our sustainability journey, progress and challenges. We disclose our data
to CDP and Ecovadis annually to meet the needs of our customers who request this
information and help us to identify areas for improvement.
