The Fantasy Road Spec Deck is now live!

One of the things we've wanted to do for quite some while is to build a tool
that people can use whilst trying to make money from buying new comic books, and
guess what we did? Of course we cannot GUARANTEE that the books listed in our
fancy new fandangled page will definitely rocket in price, but that's not the
purpose of the page. The purpose of the page is to highlight the books that are
most likely to do so using a mixture of insider knowledge, experence and common
sense. 

The categories for the Spec Deck will constantly be being updated as we focus
more of our energy into growing it, but as a general rule of thumb, the ones
that will always be there are:

Cover spec: Self explanatory really, as much of the categories are. If a book is
marked as cover spec, it means that it has been selected either because it has
an amazing cover, or the cover is done by a cover artist with historic data to
prove their covers ten to sell well and rise in value - Such as Artgerm, Young,
or JTC.

Story spec: This one means that the books in this category have an event within
the story that makes them important. For example, an easy example of this one
would be the new Spiderboy run. This is story spec, as it's the first solo
titled spiderboy story.

First appearance spec: You guessed it! This one means it contains a first
appearance.

All pre-orderable issues purchased from us have the option of being sent
directly to CGC, with a 9.6+ guarantee.

This means that if your book is returned to us, and it's not either a 9.6 or
9.8, you can choose from:

 * 10% refund on the purchase price & keep the book
 * 100% refund & return the book
 * 15% refund in store credit &keep the book

If you don't see the issue you want here, it doesn't mean we don't do it! Just

Are you looking to preserve, or increase, the value of your precious
collectibles? Do you worry about the many stops along the way? The risky
transport duration between you and your presser, from the presser back to you,
then from you to all the way to the CGC depot in America then back again? Not to
mention the complicated multiple insurances needed, the correspondence between
all relevant parties and all sorts. Well worry no more.

The Fantasy Road is the one stop, be all end all, when it comes to this process.
You send us your book, we clean it, we press it, we deal with the insurances and
the postage, all the nasty details, we get it to CGC who grade and encapsulate
the book, then we get it back to you.

So, as far as you're concerned, you send it to us in its raw form, and we send
it back to you graded. Simples.

COMIC BOOK RECYCLING


COMIC BOOK RECYCLING IS NOW LIVE!

What is it? Well, we know full well that times are hard, with the rising costs
of living combined with the rising costs of... everything... It's been hard to
enjoy the simple things in life. For example. Comics.

But fear no more! With our comic book recycling scheme, we make it that bit
easier to get your next read. But how? In a nutshell, we will accept any comic
book or graphic novel at the flat trade in price of 20p per issue. That means,
that every 16 comic books you trade in, you can get a brand-new pre-order, or
even a back-issue (based on the average price of £3.30 per issue), or, you can
stack it up for something more substantial.  

We can accept all US style comic books for this trade in deal, aside from UK
pannini reprints. We will also accept some UK style comic books. Graphic novels
/TPBs are also accepted.

If you are trading in a substantial sized lot, we are able to collect UK wide.


BUT WHAT IF MY COMIC BOOK IS WORTH MORE THAN THAT? 

We will buy it! The majority of comic books hold very little resale value, but
there is of course exceptions. If you have a large collection, or books of
significant value, just click the link below and fill in our quotation request
