ÜBER
following the death of our friend and talented artist frances donnelly, we
recorded this collection of songs as a way of grieving. three of the songs ('the
perfume of mexican birds', 'suck it', and 'chemicals') were originally written
by frances and performed under their outfits 'animal magic tricks' and/or 'cold
seeds'. the other pieces were unfinished recordings of ours from the same period
in which we knew frances best. it is a rough collection of tracks recorded
mainly in a living room, improvising on whatever was at hand - as, we believe,
frances would have wanted.
an audio-visual version of this album is available on the vhs and the youtube
which includes full narrated 'liner notes'. this version is also available on
audio cassette and as bonus tracks on the digital download.
