Paymentree is a middleware software package that provides businesses with the
flexibility to integrate virtually any payment terminal with any payment
processor and point-of-sale system. Now any business can easily deploy payment
terminals and start processing transactions immediately using a simple
configuration tool.

Without question, consumer trust is invaluable and a critically important factor
to the success of businesses today. So when it comes to accepting and processing
payments, protecting client card information should be of the highest priority.

With this in mind, Paymentree has been developed using the semi-integrated
payment solution model which provides several important benefits when it comes
to security. Using this model means that client card data is held securely on
the payment terminal, and never sent to Paymentree or the POS system. In turn,
this means a lower security risk and also a lower scope of requirements to meet
PCI compliance. In turn, this also means lower development and PCI certification
costs.
