after placing him on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 10. Pollock
is away from the team for the birth of his child, so they will have to assess
where his right hamstring is at when he returns to the club.

Lucas Giolito said he feels "significantly better" and felt no ill-effects from
his lower abdominal strain while playing catch for the first time before Tuesday
game. The expectation is still that he will miss two starts, and Jimmy Lambert
has been called up and announced as Thursday's starter. Rick Hahn referred to
Lambert, who worked three innings in his long Triple-A outing, as an opener.

April 9) and AJ Pollock (April 10) were placed on the injured list. Lefty
reliever Anderson Severino and right-hander Jimmy Lambert were called up.
Lambert has primarily worked as a starter through his professional career

intentionally threw at Andrew McCutchen on Saturday. Ross also fined an
undisclosed amount. Ross will serve his suspension on Tuesday in Pittsburgh,
Thompson may appeal, pushing the suspension to a later date.

about drawing the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks?

The Bears finally added a corner, signing Tavon Young to a one-year contract.
Young, 28, played in 17 games with seven starts last season for the Ravens and
had three passes defensed and two sacks. Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham was a
scout with the Ravens when they drafted Young in the fourth round in 2016. Young
can play the slot, which is a major need for the Bears' secondary.
