DURESS ALARMS FOR LONE WORKERS

Duress alarms enable lone workers to quickly call for help if they are in a
dangerous or life-threatening situation. They are also used by people working
outside of normal business hours or in the community, where help may not be
available immediately.

When activated a duress button triggers an alert through a response centre,
which can be answered by trained professionals and sent the appropriate help and
back up. Alternatively, the personal alarm device can send a GPS location of
where the user is, so authorities and cares can track them down.

A Duress alarm can be activated by pressing a single button on the device or
pendant and this connects with a monitoring centre to be answered by a customer
care consultant. panic button police The customer care consultant will be able
to talk through what needs to happen with the person who is in danger, as well
as providing assistance or directing them to a safe location.

They can also be activated by a lone worker to keep their workplace secure, by
checking in before entering a premises and if a patient or family member becomes
aggressive or violent during a visit, the lone worker can press the alarm to
summon help.

A good duress alarm system is essential in any environment where a lone worker
works. It will not only save a life, it will help to keep everyone safe and
protect your organisation from costly legal costs, including prosecution. It
will be a cost effective investment in your staff, their families and your
clients, that will pay for itself in the long term.
