10TH ANNUAL WALK FOR WILLA





WILLA CARSON HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER





Willa Carson Center has provided over 50,000 medical visits to uninsured and
under-served residents of Pinellas County. Services are focused on non-emergency
primary health care, treating conditions such as diabetes, hypertension,
hypercholesterolemia, asthma and other chronic illnesses.  There are also
free-to-the-public monthly education classes and a community outreach program.

The Center’s primary source of funding is through grants, in-kind donations and
fund-raising events.  Major funding over the past three years has been provided
by the Morton Plant Mease Foundation, Pinellas Community Foundation, Allegany
Franciscan Ministries, Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, The
Clearwater Rotary Club, and Duke Energy Foundation. We have also formed great
partnerships with the Black Nurses Association and Turley Family Health Center.
