THE LAUGHING BOY



The Laughing Boy was given its first stage production at The New Theatre,
Dublin, from 31st August to 11th September, 2021. The text was published by

EXHIBITION IN SOFIA

Jack Harte featured alongside the Book of Kells and Georgian Architecture.



In March, 2021, this exhibition was mounted outside the National Palace of
Culture in Sofia, Bulgaria, to highlight the artistic achievements of Ireland
over the centuries. Jack Harte was featured as a contemporary writer because of
the impact his novels and stories have had in Bulgaria. It is twenty years since
his collection of stories, Birds and Selected Stories, in Bulgarian translation,
was launched here in the National Palace of Culture. Since then his novels
Reflections in a Tar-Barrel and In the wake of the Bagger were also published,
in translation by Vergil Nemchev who is also pictured.
