IYT YACHTMASTER OFFSHORE CERTIFICATE TRAINING

The program Yachtmaster Offshore IYT is not for beginners!

  The course IYT Yachtmaster Offshore for those who are ready to study in detail
navigation, tiding, and meteorology.

Certificate`s  Yachtmaster Offshore IYT holder has the right to command of a
vessel up to a maximum 24 meters, up to 150 nautical miles from the coast, day
or night, any weather.

Standard for the Certificate Yachtmaster Offshore IYT 

The requirementsto aaply to the IYT Yachtmaster Offshore course are:

– 3000 nautical miles
– 50 days on board at sea (a day = 24 hours)
– 30 hours on watch at night underway.

– certificate Radiooperator VHF or candidates must study course Radiooperator
VHF at the same time as Yachtmaster Offshore

The Candidate for course Yachtmaster Offshore should be 18 years of age or over.

11 days comprehensive high-level course:

6 days high-level shore-based module with a number of assessment papers and
written examinations incorporating subjects including navigation, tidal
calculations, COLREG,  meteorology,  buoyage, safety, passage planning, general
ship knowledge.

5 days practical course – seamanship skills such as  boat handling, docking, 
navigation and passage planning.

The course duration be a minimum of 40 hours of theory and practical training,
but this time frame may be reduced for those who have recognized prior learning
or boating/sea time experience.

Yachtmaster Offshore course in our yacht school can be taught in English,
Estonian, and Russian.
