THE MILWAUKEE BAR ASSOCIATION (MBA) HAS A LONG AND PROUD TRADITION OF
LEADERSHIP, SERVICE, AND INNOVATION IN THE MILWAUKEE LEGAL COMMUNITY AND BEYOND.
AS THE LARGEST VOLUNTARY BAR ASSOCIATION IN THE STATE, THE MBA SERVES AS A
VALUABLE RESOURCE TO, AND A VOICE FOR OUR MEMBERS AND THE MILWAUKEE LEGAL

MBA OFFICE
Consider holding your next client meeting, mediation, deposition, arbitration,or
event at the MBA. Our two largest rooms can accommodate up to 35 people
each (or 72 people with the wall removed). Also available is a board room
(capacity is 12 people) and two individual meeting rooms ( capacity 4 people
each).

CRIMINAL DEFENSE LEGAL ASSISTANCE INITIATIVE
Criminal defense appointments number in the thousands each year and collectively
with criminal defense attorneys, public defender staff, and the private bar,
many people have been helped through tough times in their lives. We are in the
midst of a social justice crisis. The shortage of lawyers is part of a larger
pattern of disserving the neediest people in our community. We stand with those
providing civil legal services, housing supports, neighborhood efforts at
building resilience and preventing violence. In seeking help from already busy
people, we do not imply fault or responsibility for a problem which we, as
members of a civilized society, must meet. Rather we come in humility asking for
help in serving deserving clients.
If you are able to accept appointments from the Office of the Public Defender it
would be greatly appreciated. If you know of an attorney that could help out,
please encourage them to do so.

The Milwaukee Bar Association has been the cornerstone of Milwaukee's legal
community since 1858. The MBA is proud to have created a facility in downtown
Milwaukee that will serve as a home and a resources for all of Milwaukee
County's legal community.
Our facility donors helped create a space with state of the art meeting
facilities that can be utilized by all. Donors also provided space for new
attorneys to begin their practice with tools to support practice and personal
growth. The MBA will be a place you can stop in for a cup of coffee, to catch up
with a colleague or meet clients.
