I’ve worked in research, project, policy & advocacy roles spanning youth health, sexual health and mental health promotion in workplaces, schools and homes. I engage people with many & varied lived experiences, often of marginalisation, in a way that ensures safety & centres their voice in program & policy decisions. Alongside my work, I'm also completing a PhD in sexually explicit media literacy education, exploring youth, parent and teacher perspectives & experiences. My research has been published in the Sex Education journal. As such, I’m a strong advocate for comprehensive, inclusive, evidence-based relationships and sexuality education - that helps young people achieve healthy and respectful relationships. In my spare time (lol), you’ll find me at the gym, playing the flute (badly) or vibing to Taylor Swift. I grew up in Perth but moved to Melbourne in 2016, though visit often because we Italian boys can’t be away from our families (or the food) for too long. I’d love to hear how I can help you make an impact. Say hi! WHAT I DO Conduct meaningful research & evaluation to improve outcomes for the communities we serve. Apply knowledge translation concepts to turn findings into actionable insights and policies. Create strong and convincing arguments in policy writing. Capacity building to help organisations be self-sustaining. HOW I ROLL Clear and simple communication, with max accessibility. Communities are not only listened to, but included. Contributions are recognised. Risks are managed and safety is paramount. Working in partnership. Collaboration always leads to better results. Where possible, work is published to make sure everyone can benefit from what we find. WHAT I VALUE Kindness We can disagree on our deepest values and still be kind to each other. Often, we have more in common then we think and common ground is where we make progress. Fun I love what I do and hope you enjoy working with me.
