PROSPERH



Welcome to PROSPERH, a ground-breaking project that aims to improve physical and
mental health in workplaces by developing and validating the multi-level
PROSPERH intervention, delivered via the PROSPERH Portal, in 11 countries.

PROSPERH is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and
Innovation programme that runs from 2024 – 2028.

AN INTEGRATED APPROACH TO IMPROVING MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE

PROSPERH is a European-funded research project that will create an innovative,
hybrid intervention to enable companies to improve the mental and physical
health of their workforces. The intervention will target multiple levels,
including organisational (work), peer and individual (worker) aspects.

OUR MISSION IS TO LAUNCH A COMPREHENSIVE PORTAL WITH TOOLS AND SUPPORTS,
TAILORED TO OUR TARGET SECTORS, THAT WILL HELP TRANSFORM RAPIDLY EVOLVING
WORKPLACES INTO HEALTH-PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTS.







KNOWLEDGE GATHERING



LEARNING WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN’T

To develop an intervention that works in the real world, we will consult with
companies and workers, search the scientific literature for the latest evidence
and explore existing data on health in the workplace. Experts from many
different fields will combine what is learned to create the sector-specific,
multi-level PROSPERH intervention and launch the Portal.

PROSPERH PORTAL IN ACTION



EVALUATION OF THE PROSPERH INTERVENTION

The PROSPERH intervention will be tested extensively in companies in the
Construction, Health and Telework and ICT-based mobile work sectors. Workers
from companies across Albania, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Ireland,
Kosovo, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Turkey will be invited to join a
randomised controlled trial. Randomised controlled trials are the ‘gold
standard’ research method for evaluating interventions and their outcomes.
During the 12-month trial, workers will be given access to the PROSPERH Portal
and research teams in each country will collect confidential data about how use
of the Portal impacts worker’s mental and physical health.

COLLABORATION



WORKING TOGETHER TO TRANSFORM WORKPLACES

PROSPERH is the continuation of a long-standing collaboration between 18
organisations committed to improving overall health and well-being. The team
will build on their existing, successful mental health interventions (such as
iFightDepression® and MENTUPP) and extend the focus to include physical health.
The multi-disciplinary team includes experts in occupational health, public
health and epidemiology, ergonomics, psychiatry, psychology, implementation
science, social sciences and humanities, health economics, multi-country trials
and biostatistics. Our team is experienced in addressing workplaces, including
those in Construction, Health and Telework and ICT-based mobile work sectors.
