PART OF THEIR CYBERSECURITY EDUCATION PROGRAM.

 


TIPS ON RECOGNIZING PHISHING EMAILS:

 * Generic salutations - most phishing emails will not be specific to you

 * Grammatical or spelling errors peppered throughout the email

 * An action is being required of you; the message will prompt you to open an
   executable attachment or to click on a link embedded in the email

 * A sense of urgency in the language - “as soon as possible,” “immediately,”
   etc.

 * An unusual address for the sender; ie: from a legitimate organization but
   using a personal account.



 

If you suspect an email is a phishing attempt, please report it using the
'Report Message' option on the menu ribbon.
