QUICKLY FIND ACCESS POINT DETAILS

The capabilities and configuration of your access points have a huge impact on
whether your Wi-Fi is sloooow or fast. But this information is typically hidden
for mesh systems or buried in a dozen configuration screens for standard Wi-Fi
access points. With inSSIDer all of the important access point configuration
details are shown in a single, easy-to-read list.




DISCOVER WHICH CHANNELS ARE BUSIEST

Selecting a quiet channel for your Wi-Fi network will improve your Wi-Fi speed,
and a channel with only a single Wi-Fi network can be much busier than a channel
with multiple Wi-Fi networks. The Channels Table in inSSIDer shows you how busy
each channel is, making it easy to find a channel that is relatively quiet
compared to other channels.


SEE DEVICES ON YOUR LOCAL NETWORK

inSSIDer not only shows your information about your Wi-Fi access points, it also
scans your Local Area Network (LAN) to determine what devices are on your
network. For some devices inSSIDer can even show you what type of device it is
and automatically find the device name.

What you see is what you get! Select a network, access point radio, or client,
and Tonic will automagically tune the connected packet capture adapters to the
right channels.

Drill down to a client, and watch as Tonic keeps you informed about what it's
captured. Data frames, ACKs, Authentication frames - Tonic keeps track of
everything in real time. You'll never doubt that you captured an Association
Request ever again.

GET INTO THE FLOW

Source? Destination? Transmitter?! Receiver?! When all you need is a quick view
of what packet went where, Packet Flow has you covered. Simple arrows show who
transmitted the 802.11 frame, and colorful labels show what kind of frame it
was, so you can track Wi-Fi conversations more easily than ever before.

Packet Flow makes you wonder, “Why didn’t we always do it like this?!




LAYER UP!

Tonic uses Eye P.A.'s Airtime Usage technology to calculate channel congestion
at the packet layer in real-time, so you can exactly who is eating up time on
the channel.

But wait, there's more! Plug in a Wi-Spy DBx to unlock Spectrum Utilization
(that's a measurement from the Physical Layer), so you can compare Layer 2 (Air
Time Usage) and Layer 1 (Spectrum Utilization) in the same application! It
doesn't matter what is causing channel usage anymore - if it's non-Wi-Fi, Tonic
will see it. If it's Wi-Fi, Tonic will see it!
