The country suffers from an acute shortage of cyber security personnel, while at
the same time, cyber analyst is one of the top 10 growing job positions.
Colleges and universities educate students who are able to perform these roles,
but historically have not been able to provide hands-on experience. The Public
Infrastructure Cyber Education System (PISCES) provides of developing the
workforce to include experience as an analyst while providing infrastructure
protection to small government organizations which would not otherwise have
resources. PISCES represents a model of academic-government-industry cooperation
which benefits all parties.
