WE’RE ABOUT TO HAVE A BIT OF A FACELIFT!!



When Laynes first opened in 2011 it was very much a small takeaway espresso bar,
some of you may even have visited us back then.

About 6 years ago I was able to extend into the neighbouring unit which allowed
us to add the food element to the business and now, after a frustrating 6 month
delay, we’re about to begin works on extending the shop again!

This will allow us to accommodate more customers who wish to dine in, have a
much bigger and more efficient kitchen space which will see us speed up service
time and allow me to refit the coffee bar to offer more grab and go options and
quicker service for takeaway.


THE SCHEDULE

FROM MONDAY 13TH FEBRUARY - We will be returning to being a small coffee spot
with limited seating on the ground floor and basement. We’ll still have a range
of savoury (cold) food available on the bar to takeaway which continues to
include everything we produce over at our bakery in Armley. I’ll get a couple
more benches for the outside area, too.

After a period of kitchen closure and having limited seating on both the ground
and lower floors we will close completely for around a week or so to allow for
the refit of the coffee bar and redecorating. When I have those dates set I’ll
put them up here.

REOPENING - well, I’m HOPING for the 2nd week of March…APRIL

AS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE HAVE FOUND US. WE WANTED TO GIVE THE COFFEE DRINKING
POPULATION OF LEEDS A VENUE THAT PAID ABSOLUTE ATTENTION TO THE QUALITY OF JUST
TWO INGREDIENTS, COFFEE AND (POSSIBLY) MILK, AND AN INFORMATIVE AND WELCOMING
ENVIRONMENT TO ENJOY IT IN. WE’VE EXPANDED OVER THE YEARS TO INCLUDE A KITCHEN
THAT PRODUCES SOME OF THE BEST BREAKFAST AND LUNCH OPTIONS YOU’LL FIND IN THE
CITY CENTRE.

Train Station with many of its commuters relying on us for consistently great
coffee drinks. 

We've grown to become known as one of the best breakfast and brunch offerings in
the city as well as serving delicious pastries and sweet options
